But we can control what happens when we play teams that are good. Our record against winning teams indicates a statistical analysis that we seem to struggle against teams that are good. Folks unless something changes quick we are facing uphill sledding on our home field against a team we all HATE!! USC is way better than they have been.. Remember last year we didn't exactly blow them out and they STUNK!

That stat is completely irrelevant. The 'number of bowl eligible teams' will change drastically this weekend, which changes these stats. So, even if Sellers and Klubnik both sit out this weekend, those numbers will change.

How do you figure?! Teams don’t lose bowl eligibility. And what bowl is the Citadel going to?! Wrong is absolute but you’re absolutely wrong. Va Tech, NC State and UVA may not reach six wins. UVA has SMU and Va Tech-not gonna make it. Nancy Tate has Ga Tech and UNC-doubt it. Va Tech has Duke and UVA-best chance of the three. That would add 211 passing yard to Cades total vs bowl eligible teams.
I hate to say it but Sellars has done more with less against much better competition. I’m not liking our chances against the chickens. I pray we can pull it out. I’m just not confident at all. Especially with our inability to stop the QB run. We’re 53 in team defense. SC is top twenty team defense.

Lol. Nothing I said is wrong and you proved it yourself.
Yes, teams GAIN bowl eligibility. UVA, VT, and NCSU are all 1 win away. The second any of them wins a game, one of Cade's games against "non bowl eligible" becomes a game against "bowl eligible". And so the stats above will change...even though he did nothing different to change them.
How does another team winning a game sometimes in the next 2 weeks change anything about how Klubnik or Sellers played when they faced them in the past? It doesn't...and that's why the stat is meaningless.
There is much more you can dig into to tear this apart as well. For example, "bowl eligible" doesn't mean "good defense".

Clint Brewster of 247 sports has Sellers ranked as 5th best QB in the country after week 12, and Cade is rounding out the top 10 at 10th. Both impressive. However, Sellers has only played in 7.5 games (accounting for injury). I watch all of their games (my wife is a SCAR grad), and Sellers has the “IT” factor and his growth over this, his freshman season, has been stunning. I see him similar to how Watson arrived at Clemson. He is a very different style of player than Deshaun, but they both have that Superman ability to carry their team to victory.
I honestly think SCAR might have found a generational talent with Sellers. They’re stacking Elite OL talent, and their 2025 recruiting class at WR is currently among the best in the country. I’m definitely concerned about what they could be in coming years. FOr that reason, we HAVE to find a way to beat them this year. Sellers is still young and prone to freshman mistakes. It isn’t going to get any easier as he gains more experience.
Cade has also grown tremendously year over year — no doubt. But, the level of competition he’s faced isn’t ideal for really measuring how good he is. We should have a better idea after he faces SCAR’s defense. The fact Brewster is already ranking Sellers ahead of Cade, when Cade is a year older certainly says he sees Sellers as a legit prospect. Those on this board saying he can’t pass may want to watch a SCAR game and reconsider. Kid just won SEC Offensive player of the week and threw 5TDS to go with 350 Yards.

You just might be the most non-objective poster on here and I would have to agree with you here. I have Carolina family members as well so I watch a lot of their games and you’d have to be an idiot to not see that they are actually building something there to be a legitimate contender/threat over the next few years, But if we point that out here we are “coots” because even one word that could be taken as positive towards them and it’s unacceptable here 😂😂😂

I disagree. While I completely admit that they are a very good team this year, they will take a huge dive off next season. They are being held up by upperclassmen and they hit on transfers. They are losing a lot and they haven’t recruited well enough to repeat. They will continue to be up and down. Sellers is a good QB but without that defense this season they are a 4 win team.

I disagree. Their class is decent and they have some underclassman who have been getting reps this year and if they hit the portal and hit on some linemen again they’ll be just fine. As much as I’d like to see them winless, it seems they’ve found a coach that actually cares about changing the history and culture of that program.

Mizzou defense is on par with all the carp teams that Cade annihilated idk how they were ranked, they are a very one dimensional team. Offense only.
Sellers has a high ceiling but he is not better than Cade and not as accurate as you are trying to portray. The reason Scar is good is their starting front 7 is as good as anyone's. Sellers will give you the ball and will kill drives if you can get him to ground. Kid is strong and hard to get down but he's very much like Cade was last year, he tries to get outside too often and does not have that burst to run away from lbs and DEs. Put the VT gameplan to use and they will struggle mightly to move the ball.
Yall want to hate Cade so bad it's not even funny. The dude is carrying the team this year. Cade is a bonfire top 10 QB this year and I'm noticing a trend with Tnet, yall don't realize who is carrying the load. Before Shipley left he had to care this team yet many of you wanted him gone.

What part about this don’t you get? Cade and Clemson have beaten NO ONE worth a darn. We lost horribly to unbanked Louisville AT HOME. Carolina would have killed them. We struggle with teams we should have blown out. The Louisville game made Dabo look like Les Miles. Our special teams play is atrocious. Our play calling isn’t fooling anyone and we’ve not really developed the O-line. Mafah appears injured and there’s no one to back him up! Not good.

Cade is not in the same hemisphere as Sellers. Orange sunshine pump it all you want, everyone outside of this state knows Sellers is a dynamic qb. Cade is just great at beating bad teams. Coot coot coot. Whatever.

Interesting stat that is not accurate bc the season is not over and we do not know who will be bowl eligible at the end. This is called cherry picking facts with no context and intent to purposely mislead. We just watched a 4 year anti campaign based cherry picked quotes with no context and intent to mislead, how'd that end up?

UofSC is 3-3 vs bowl eligible and we are 1-2 at the moment. The Coots have had 4 close games and been blown out once. We have had 1 Close Game and blown out twice, so they have had to throw more passes in two more games.

This is simply untrue. Defense has been fantastic, but Sellers growth has been unbelievable. In November, he's probably the best player in the country statistically. The game has slowed down for him and now he's starting to become who pundits thought he could be.
Without Sellers there are several more losses on their schedule this season. He's helped them win more than a couple games.

But those "stats' are terrible. How many attempts? How many games? How about some efficiency numbers? Just tossing up a total yardage number with absolutely no context and no supporting stats is virtually meaningless.

It's going to be tricky to stop Sellers. Need a health D-Line / LB core to shut him down.
He's a good player, but I'd still rather have Cade.
Guy was CLUTCH against KY and PITT.
Yardbirds have folded in many a big game this year.
Valley needs to be LOUD.
