I finally got my crush that works the drive thru at Bojangles to agree to come over for dinner tonight. She’s a Clemson fan and I want to make her Mac & Cheese.
Anyone know what cheese is the closest color to Clemson orange so I can make an impression by doing it right instead of just making Kraft? This girl gives me that tingly feeling in my stomach so this needs to be special.

My solid for the week, 'cause you seem needy and need to get some, grab some red & yellow food dyes and use this:
Clemson Orange has RBG values 245, 102, 0, which is more red-based than a typical orange.

That's the one! I'd forgotten the name of it, and also I thought it was from Spain rather than France. But that's def. the one I was thinking of.
Also, Annie's Mac and cheese is tons better than Kraft. Their main variety has white cheese but they make an orange one too.

The color is not what you want to go for. You do know that no cheese is yellow or even orange, right? they put dye in the cheese to get to be organce or yellow. Real cheese is white...kinda like the cream it was made out of. The cheaper crap it is the more orange it is.
If you really want to make an impression use Cabots vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese...you can get it tinted orange. Hey, if you like to eat dye knock yourself out.
Look up the recipe for Fanny Farmers Classic Mac and Cheese....done right it is the best ever.

Not all orange cheese has artificial dyes in it. French MImolette and many high end cheddars are colored with Annato, which is a natural coloring made from the seeds of a tropical plant. No freaky artificial chemicals in these products .
