they'd nothing to offer.
Clemson will play hard to get, earn double that high school program in the Midlands, because it can.
It's nice to hold all the cards.

The SEC will come begging to keep us from making the B1G bigger than them.

NO ONE is taking you until you find a way out. Otherwise, you're stuck for a decade in the ACC. Even Texas and OU had to wait until near their GOR expired before they could work a deal to get out. No one can just up and take you and no school can just up and leave the ACC. We would love to have you over here with us but there is that thing that you signed not once but twice to bind you in chains.

That was the second time UT signed a contract with Pruitt. The article was about an extension.

The Big Ten already dwarfs the SEC. Many don't realize that the future and survival in college athletics is TV money and profit.
Start with NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, D.C, Baltimore, Detroit, Milwaukee, Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Los Angelas, and I know I've left out a few more. Those are all multi-million markets for the Big Ten. They're rumored to be adding Washington (Seattle) and Oregon (Portland) today or tomorrow. Now they're bringing in Oregon's Phil Knight and his Nike money. Huge money for the conference members. We can make up all the excuses we want, but that conference has grabbed the bull by the horns and running with it

I'm glad the SEC isn't spreading out to many time zones. That is a huge detriment to me. The B10 is trying to catch up to the SEC by adding numbers but they certainly can't do it on the field.

You're thinking just football. The new Big Ten is a monster in all of college sports. Sorry, but quit living in the past as it's being reported that the B1G will now be paying out $100 million to each member by 2025 and really explode after that. It's all about money - again, MONEY and profit. Again, run through the markets from coast to coast that the Big Ten is now in.
I'm on record as saying that I want Clamson in the Big Ten IF we can get out of the 2036 BS
