Winning close games

Oct 7, 2012, 12:55 PM

really pays dividends in the long run for championship caliber teams. When we were 6-7, we lost those games.

With the exception of FSU, we have won those this year. GT, BC, and Auburn were all close games late. They all cracked in the 4th, we didnt.

I am very encouraged by our defensive progress the past two weeks (actually getting some pressure sometimes), but I think the silver lining is that our offense has learned some additional poise and built confidence by having to stay on the gas at all times.

Our O-line is a strength. Never typed that before. They did well against Auburn (the "best D-line in the Country" at the time) and FSU (the "best D in the Country" at the time) and I think that will make a huge difference in the USucK game (the best D-line in the County right now).

Its a long season, but this is shaking up to be the biggest game with the Coots I can remember. And it's in our house.

GO TIGERS.
