Back to the OP. Nothing wrong with Willy, Tiger For Life, but Johnson has more upside. Didn't really realize what I did until I finished typing LOL

hard to say. Willy was a decorated kid coming in. Unfortunate circumstance led to him being a bit of a let down. I'm happy he was able to win a national title w/ North Greenville.
This Hunter kid looks pretty legit too. I'm hoping we will get more out of him when he arrives.

football coach. He will continue to represent us well. Hunter has tons of potential but has not yet succeeded like Mr Korn has.

regarded as one of the top 5 high school QBs in America. Everybody who has seen him play and worked with him raves about him; not only his physical talent but his aptitude for the game and his leadership qualities as well. That's what we know about Hunter Johnson.
Willy Korn was an Elite 11 finalist (runner-up MVP and voted most likely to play early at that prestigious event) and was generally regarded as one of the top 5 high school QBs in America. Everybody who saw him play and worked with him raved about him; not only his physical talent but his aptitude for the game and his leadership qualities as well. That's what we knew about Willy Korn at the same stage Hunter Johnson's at now.

Biggest difference was, Willy Korn tore up his shoulder and couldn't throw a football after that.
Kinda reminds me of JK Jay. Yeah, All-World talent...potentially. Then injuries hit and you'll never know what coulda been, after that. Over before it even started, really.

I hope Johnson is the greatest QB ever, and he may be, but he's coming in with almost the exact same resume as Willy Korn did. A lot of folks bash Korn now, and say that he was a flop or a disappointment, while conveniently forgetting that Korn never even had a chance to flop because of injuries to his throwing shoulder. To me a flop is a player that just wasn't as good as advertised. With Korn, we don't really know how good he was or could have been.

granted a medical redshirt for his true freshman year. He was never the same after that. He injured it again against GT in 2008. AFTER you came away unimpressed by Korn in HS, he was runner up MVP in the Elite 11 finals, and out of all of those elite QBs, was voted the most likely to play early. Another publication named him as one of 10 impact freshmen before the season. The consensus was that Korn was destined to be a great college QB, just as it is for Johnson.
