Will the players back Dabo with great play and a home win vs. Notre Dame?

This self-righteous BS is getting old. Take that “Old Testament” fire and show it on the field this Saturday. Put your money where your mouth is Coach.

Hey, take a break from beating up on Dabo and walk down the DJU Memory Lane for a minute. Here is what an NFL draft expert said would keep D.J. from going very high in the upcoming draft, if he chooses to enter it.
“Is a statue in the pocket who doesn’t move his feet unless he intends to run downhill to pick up yards. He can be an easy target for defenders who get penetration. • Struggled with consistent accuracy at Clemson, largely due to his inability to control the amount of touch he puts on the ball. It’s unpredictable whether the pass will be a soft touch attempt or a bullet. • Shows a long, winding passing motion that starts low and has too much room for error. Shortening this could bring stability to his accuracy. • More dependent on his supporting cast than he is a creator for the offense, as he’s not a dynamic runner or a reliable enough passer to sustain a consistent offense. • Has issues leading his receivers upfield, often throwing to where they are rather than where they’re going.’
Sound familiar? The draft analyst noted that D.J. was a highly coveted high school recruit and that when he filled in for Trevor in his freshman year, D. J. was so promising that everyone assumed the transition to Life After Trevor would be seamless. The fact that the transition was such a shocking failure is at the root of all the heartache now consuming Dabo and our Tigers.

"I know who I am. I've never flinched," "Some people say I'm stubborn. I say I'm convicted in my beliefs. And there aren't enough people convicted in their beliefs..."
said the horse and buggy driver...
Let's see your convictions on the field Saturday

thats what he's always been called stubborn about is the portal. And the only way to do it is send a DM to Archie Manning today in his dorm room and start laying out NIL deals to get him to switch...eventhough he's on scholarship and committed to UT.
Thats what Dabo is talking about. And the majority of coaches aren't doing that.

I’ve never met a Muslim not convicted of their beliefs. Beliefs are proof of nothing other than the person you’re talking to is impossible to reason with. Christian Beliefs, Muslim Beliefs, Buddhist, Hindu. We all have our beliefs. What makes us tolerable is our ability to admit when we’re wrong and correct our behavior. Not some conviction that because we thought this way in 1999 it must be true

And you need to keep whining. You bent the needle. Dabo is a 5 star. Amazing people can't do the math and see his consistency. One little period of bumps along the road and the whiners call for blood.

Says all the Clemson "fans" who want to bash Dabo no matter what he says because they WANT to believe what they believe about Dabo and stick to it no matter what information they get. Friggin hypocrites.
Talk about stubbornness with an unwillingness to change...you're all a massive joke. Take a look at yourself.

This is the exact same guy that won us a bunch of championships. Some of yall loved him when we were winning and are hating him now. He didn't change. We still have one of the best coaches in the country and I'm glad he's ours. If you have a head coach that does what others say he should do then he isn't a very good head coach. Dabo will evaluate and make the changes he thinks are necessary. We have a bunch of spoiled baby fans.

I love Dabo and always will but I am frustrated with him. He's been too rigid concerning the changes in college football and too outspoken defending himself. Needs to be the bigger guy and not flyoff with some comments. It's okay to defend yourself but be more professional doing so.

Make changes, don't make changes, whatever floats his boat. All I know is this is a results/performance business. Those are his words, not mine. In the last 3 years, I think we have only had 2 wins over top 25 teams - FSU last year and Wake the year before. If this occurred at Bama, UGA or OSU, the heat would be palpable. But I guess coach is right, we should not have those kind of unreasonable expectations at little ole Clemson.

He should not have taken the bait. He should not have gone off. I, for one, am not ready for Dabo to go anywhere. I am frustrated with this year and the previous two….heartbroken. At the end of the day, I don’t think anyone wants this, ESPECIALLY the players and COACHES. If it hurts us this bad, think of how they are hurting. This may not age well, but I think the team will rally behind Dabo and make something happen. We have not gotten a break in a while, maybe it’s time. I will be wearing Orange on Saturday and will be cheering as hard as I can as a home 3-point underdog.
And Dabo, just don’t take the bait from these folks or anyone else fans or media. Do your talking on the field.

has crept in over the past 3 or 4 seasons. Sometimes my son likes to throw out a smart comment or two to me or his mother. Many times i'll let it slide and give some light warnings.. but when it continues to occur it needs to dealt with in a manner as Dabo says "Old Testament" style. Avoiding dealing with this issue of entitlement and allowing the talk can trickle down into others. Him having a human, matter of fact reaction to a disrespectful caller was I think necessary. Now should he do it again and again, no. But he made his point and I think it woke up alot of fans who were trending to constant negativity.
