Are we supposed to laugh in their faces, or grant some sympathy knowing that destruction of the college football ecosystem could potentially hurt any team in the future?

Don't worry about them. Dreamer Beamer is checking over Newberry's roster to get some guys to hit the portal so he can pick them up. I hope he leaves the Furman team alone.
