I can tell you though, right off the bat, what the SEC has going for it versus the Big 12 (to include Florida State and clemson):

1. The population of SEC states total 49% more than the states holding a Big 12 school that includes Florida State and clemson.

2. Viewership for SEC games last season was 66% greater than that for Big 12 games.

3. The SEC has won the past 6 national championships in football, past 3 national championships in baseball and the most recent national championship in men's basketball.

I'm sure there are other advantages. But those 3 quickly come to mind.
