As your Gamecock “friends” are still in healing from Saturday, remember to remind them that today is the 25th Anniversary of Rod Gardner’s legitimate, yet controversial catch on the 8 yard line that set up kicker Aaron Hunt’s Game-winning FG (holder Jeff Scott) with 3 seconds left. Tigers win 16-14.

heard the game on the radio it was a whole lot of we are gonna lose to them.

What was better than that was beating the cooters in Willie B the year prior (1999) and carrying Brad Scott off the field to seal their 0-11 record.

I watched that game with my former Clemson roommate in Sloan Street Tap Room. The place went wild when we completed “The Catch 2”. It went absolutely bonkers when we made the field goal. Great memories!!! Go Tigers!!!
