Seemed like over half the field got wiped out. Very scary situation involving Josh Berry. I’ve seen a many of cars go upside down and I’ve seen a many go head on into the wall, but I’ve never seen a car go head on into the wall while upside down. And that car was sliding extremely fast when it happened too. Glad he came out ok. Should be a good one next weekend at Darlington to close out the regular season.

Great race. But it always ends pretty much the same way at every Daytona race.

I think Bush would have wrecked Burton on that last lap had NASCAR not penalized Dillon for intentionally wrecking to win the last race. Bush knew he would get same penalty, so 2nd was better if he could not win. He did bump Burton and sent him below yellow, which probably actually helped Burton.

I don't think I have ever heard Bush congratulate another driver or compliment them for beating him. His ego won't allow it.

He has mellowed out a lot in the last year or so. No wins will do that to a person. Never pulled for the guy but was wanting him and RCR to get that one last night.

No kidding fun race with a wild finish, was rooting for Rowdy but Burton scooting ahead and holding on was pretty amazing. And I know folk poop on the car but hat tip to NASCAR cuz that Berry wreck upside down and head on into the wall was scary.


Can't wait for Darlington Sunday all those just below the cutoff I expect fireworks.

They have engineered some great features into those cars. I know people cry about “stock” cars no longer being out there but they 1) haven’t been out there for a very long time and 2) are trying to save lives. They haven’t raced true stock cars in over 50 years.

Siriusly, major props for the structure and supports for that roof. In other times it would have been crushed.

It was insane. I know the cars are built with safety in mind, which it is very stout car, but that looked very bad. 2 in the last week to get up and flip. Not good.

McDowell came very close to going upside down last night as well. That was another one that could’ve ended up pretty bad.
