Whys the citadel butt-hurt?

They are on their board already talking shyyt lol, a Clemson fan went on their board to tell them to have a good time in Clemson, and said he respected them and thought about them as a worthy opponent, and then they lash out at him. Heres what they said.
Q: How do you get to Clemsuck from Charleston?
A: Go North on I-26 until you smell it, & then stop somewhere near GreenVegas when you step in it - you'll be in Clemsuck!
#### valley fan, you borrowed a rock from somewhere else as your idol stone, the school is in a ### pasture, there is more weed smoke there than at a Jamaican jam festival, the uniforms are ugly as hell, more VD then at GA Southern, and the degree is worth about as much as the toilet paper lining the porta johns outside the stadium(with the exception of the farming degrees which I am sure are attractive to Massey Ferguson and John Deer.) That being said, you did come in talking trash about that pie hole dump of a school in moonshine-ville. Nobody is intimidated by that crap hole school or team and I am sure, I will be seeing many of the resume come across my desk in the coming years that are sure to go in the shredder as they always do. Trust me, Citadel grads go to the top of the list. And stop whining about being a "classy fan" There is absolutely no such thing as a classy Clemsux fan. If you have been there on game day, surely you know this already. Next time you jump in, do so respectfully or get beat down. (hope the game is close) give me a break.

That a ton of small school fans are still fans of larger schools mainly.
For example, my father went to a Socon school for Undergrad, and GT for postgrad. He cheers for Wofford but hates UGA far more than any Socon School.
Most Citadel fans I know are really SCar fans that went/go to the Citadel. Its the lowcountry, and SCar fans abound down there.

technically...myrtle beach/florence is the pee dee...I know from experience theres a lot of clemson people in berkley,dorchester,orangeburg,and collteon counties

Undoubtedly there are some coots on their board. The Citadel should be a lot more classy than that. If the posts really came from cadets, I really am very ashamed of them acting like coots. They should be disciplined for conduct unbecoming.

First of all, Columbia isn't the lowcountry. Considering Clemson and The Citadel's proud military history, I sincerely doubt a majority of alumni like or identify with the coots. Columbians hav always hated the lowcountry and and the upper part of the state.

I know three graduates from the Citadel..one works as my mate on a tugboat..the other two work at a Steinmart and sell cars , respectively . Not sure about you but that aint exactly exalted heights reached by members of some exclusive organization.

I'm speaking on behalf of fellow Clemson fans from the lowcountry. Considering Clemson and The Citadel's proud military history, I sincerely doubt a majority of alumni like or identify with the coots.
I just don't care for the anti-lowcountry tone of some of the comments. I have lots of family who attended both Clemson and the Citadel. My Mom went to Clemson and my Dad went to the Citadel. Both are unique and fine schools.

There is a long tradition of clemson bashing. Seems to have its beginings while both schools were military. Citadel still bashes young Clemson officers in military training settings. They portray US as rubes and farmboys.
The rivalry took a stronger twist while both schools were in Southern Conf. They had some success in basketball.
A great book to read is Pat Conroy Lords of Discipline. His other book My Greatest Game gives some insight into their rivalry and jealousy. Just smile and enjoy the tradition knowing they wish to be like us!

Citadel grads, and, of course, Clemson has a long history of students from the low-country. The occasional stabs from fans of other schools are typical, so I don't pay much attention to them. The Citadel has a long, rich tradition and is a credit to our state and its history, and I might add: Citadel alumni have one of the best systems nationally for looking after their own...also, a tradition well-worth emulating.

I grew up in a military family, and people who go to the Citadel #### me off. They think the have accomplish something great by playing soldier. If you want to be a soldier go to the armed forces.
