Why the run game worked today

I noticed all day we never pulled guards or tackles on offense. It was straight power run football. Block straight ahead. I think they used Riley pass game and went back to the old run game. There were holes to run thru. Defense was outstanding today with a bunch of freshman. Wes is becoming a real DC.

On the High Snap to Klubnik, he had 30 yards of green grass in front of him if he caught the ball cleanly. The line Manhandled them on that play and created a hole 12 feet wide to run through with nothing behind it.

I hope it really is that simple? Surely GA Tech can’t stop our new run game wrinkle. Sorry none of us should be doing anything except celebrating this win until tomorrow.

Shifts and pulling are difficult enough, from a timing perspective, with an experienced OL. It makes sense to significantly simplify things with newer people in the rotation.

Put a TE in line most of the game too. But yea noticed they didn't try to get too fancy with the run blocking more of a zone blocking scheme today.

Why the run game worked today is we gave the ball to one bad Mafah over 30 times. I know he fumbled late, but he is our best back, hands down!
