Why so much hate?

I just don’t understand all the hate on this board for our CLEMSON TIGERS. It’s not like we haven’t been here before,(expected to run the table and blow everyone away). This has happened multiple times during my lifetime so most of these complainers should have been fans back when we only won 3-7 games a year. Lord we are so blessed to have a (yea hardheaded) head coach that makes true men out of the guys most not even having a father in their life. And still having very good seasons the last 10Years even with the 3 lose seasons do you know how many coaches would sell their pinky toe to have that be one of their worse seasons. I honestly think we are starting to act like a bunch of spoiled ohioetts pointing their finger at these coach’s and kids that lay it all on the line every Saturday during the football season. I read some of the comments to my mom which turned 100 this year been a member of IPTAY since 1934 when my dad graduated and all she says is “these ppl have lost their minds” they would not survive back in the day when our loses would double our wins in a season. My point being we need to realize how blessed we are now even in losing a hard fought game Saturday. Two more plays going our way could have made a huge difference in the whole outcome. So I know I’m gonna be bashed for saying all this but I know how much I love my tigers and honestly I see what written on hear and there’s no way you TRULY love the tigers with some of the stuff being said. Yea we lose some but I’ve never talked bad about my tigers under any circumstances. Sorry was so long but it was on my mind. God bless everyone and GO TIGERS!!!

So you're really happy with the SEC now being our Daddy? We used to be elite.

The SEC nor any other conference will ever be our DADDY!! We are all proud men that supposedly love and support Clemson. I love to win more than anything BUT it doesn’t describe me as a person or my love for Clemson. And maybe I’m old school or better yet getting older but my blood runs orange always in wins or loses nothing will ever change that I don’t care if we lose every game the rest of the year my feelings for Clemson will not change. I will still give to iptay as I always have. And I will support them until I’m 6ft under but then my dads coach Frank Howard will dare me to say a bad word about them!!!!

"We are the longest tenured IPTAY member as of right now, dad joined when he graduated in 1934."
Just curious about the "we" part. Doesn't the tenure of an IPTAY membership end with the passing of the member, or was your Dad's membership a Life membership and handed down one generation?

Iptay memberships can be passed to the serving spouse in the event that a spouse dies. His mother is still alive.

Back in the day my dad added my mom to his membership and now that she is still living at 100 she is considered a member. But when she passes we will lose all her points. I was contacted last year by IPTAY asking if she could come up for a game and maybe dot the I before the game and I probably should have taken her but I’m not sure she could make the walk honestly.

Will always pull for Clemson and will be there Saturday afternoon. I think most are just frustrated that we aren’t getting better. Actually we’re getting worse and some seem to think we should be ok with not being able to win big games. I think we should expect to win. Always. We get what we accept. Right now it’s not good football teams.

Exactly. The quality of the product Dabo has put on the field has declined since 2020. The only real question is whether he is capable/willing to do something about it. Dabo has changed assistant coaches in the past. An offensive house cleaning will be necessary at the end of this season.

6th in wins since 2021.
We’ve been mostly a QB away, and then last years defense, but we are very capable of being elite right now.
It all hinges on Riley developing balance and the QB playing elite every game. That’s literally where we are. First and foremost Cade needs to see and hit open guys. He didn’t. At all.
Fix that and we win Saturday, and there’s a whole different tone in here, which would include words like elite.
Like most every year since 2021, we are an elite QB away. Cade may still be that - and replicate Texas - but now is the time. 95% of it hinges on Cade.

I agree 100 percent. I am only 54 and I remember the terrible 90s and early 2000s. People think we should win it ever year. It’s only one game. We still are in the mix. Notre Dame. Alabama . Texas all lost too . We are going to get better as the season progresses. Just wait and see where we are in November. Then make your rude comments.

Yes, it will happen. But when it does, it will be the exception, not the rule - unless drastic changes are made.

It’s the presentation of the expectation in the form of belly aching, and the misguided notion that if someone isn’t complaining then they must have their heads in the sand. It’s a ridiculous notion that I see repeatedly from posters on this site.

We have elite level talent on both sides of the ball, including the QB. He obviously needs to do a better job showing it, like he did at Texas.
We can very well still make it happen, elite that is, this season. No, it’s not rude to expect that from this team, but some of us need to do a better job of controlling angry “feelings” and see the forest through the trees.
We can do this. This season. Take a breath, and let’s see what happens next.

I don’t understand these guys either. The coaches and the players are trying their absolute hardest to win every game. The trashing of coaches and players does not help… it only hurts.

I wouldn’t say hate describes my reaction. I am very concerned about our offensive line. Their technique blocking on Alabama running plays was horrible. They stand too upright to get leverage when they try to block on running plays. That is a fundamental skill that shouldn’t be one of the problems for this team. It has been an issue for years.
I was also concerned about the size disparity. They were huge compared to us. I’m not talking about their 6’7” tight end. I’m talking about their players on the LOS. We also seem to lack physicality. We were pushed around like a bunch of rag dolls.

Certainly don’t hate my Tigers! What you call hate, I call being a frustrated fan who is tired of Dabo acting like NOTHING is wrong and throwing players under the bus (CK2).

year, so I've seen it all.
I never have hated our teams or coaches; I just hate to lose. But, I know it's going to happen, so I just roll with the punches or gloat in our victories. And at the end of the day I'm still going to love my Alma Mater, as I did my four years there.
