we can get back near the top is to join the SEC/BIGX. But with both us and FSU seemingly in shambles, how do we even get that invite now?
I haven’t been this concerned about the long-term future of Clemson football in quite a long time. I’m actually in shock.

I'm level-headed about it, but I do think it is over.

Same here. Dabo either needs to get with it or go.

Clemsons run as an elite program ended 5 years ago in the Natty vs LSU and definitely against Ohio State the following CFP.

100% agree. I have said that the Natty against LSU was the start of the decline. Not sure how to reverse coarse. Changes are going to need to be made with Coordinators and position coaches. Then someone is going to need to have a conversation with Dabo about the portal. CU is going to have to find a way to support NIl. I know we won't be able to compete with the like of GA and such but we certainly should not settle with getting beat by mid tear programs.

If any fan removes their orange glasses it has been very very clear to see it coming starting in the 2019 national title game.

However, on a national level we were still considered a powerhouse (or at least a contender). A destination program, not a stepping stone.
I don’t see how that continues now without some serious change of course. I have little clue what the answer is, and that makes me extremely worried. Neff has some serious decisions to make.

" I have little clue what the answer is," is what I find irritating. People complain about things that aren't the problem. Fire everybody isn't that answer. The issue is that elite players aren't coming here like before.

You’re right about the elite players going elsewhere. But some coaches still need to be fired as well.

What a bunch of Karen's here. We did not play a good game today but Clemson is still one of the top programs in NCAA.

I am a lifelong pumper, but this morning is about as gloomy as I have felt in a long time. I still believe in the players and coaches, but I am bracing for a lot of turmoil. Player turnover, recruiting losses, coaching turnover…maybe even Dabo walking away.
When I Amon Tnet 10 years from now and someone posts about the worst losses you remember, this will be among them. Just felt like a turning point.
But at the same time, I have to tip my hat to Louisville. They played a near perfect game. I was shocked when I looked at the box score and saw that we has more passing yards and more rushing yards. That was a sound defeat in all phases.

I've been on Tigernet for a long time, hardly ever post or reply but its so funny to watch the fair weather Tiger fans (or are they Tiger fans?) belly ache about Coach Swinney. Should we rehire Tommy West lol? I remember having that whole upper deck to myself after halftime back in those days. It was still fun to me win or lose. Every single year back then we lost to FSU...every time. Glad you guys aren't on the Board of Trustees.

last night I wanted Wes Goodwin fired. After getting some sleep and waking with a clear head this morning I now want just about the entire staff gone. Except for Matt Luke. The only obvious improvement this year. Not perfect but definitely improved. And don't give me this crap about lighting up the score board and winning big this year. Due in part to better o line play. But it "ain't" there when the competition is better. Playing in the weakest P5 conference is the only reason Dabo and his staff keep their jobs. One person thinks being in the sec or bigx would improve things. Yes, going 4-8 or 3-9 a few years and continually getting owned by the better teams would, at least, force these changes.

I hardly would say Clemson is in shambles. Clemson does seem to come back sluggish after a bye week. But last night I did not see any energy in the players. You can coach them and develop them but they have to give the effort on the field. Say how you feel and let it go.
For some it seems like the first thing to do is to fire the head coach or other coaches. Why cut the player’s NIL income for their efforts last night !!! How has continuing to fire coaches word at 1-8 FSU ??? I believe so many of these high paid players in the world of pay for play college sports give less effort and feel entitled. If you focus on the teams at the top, see who is back up there. It’s the teams with loads of Money and some who are willing to win at any cost.
Personally, I do not want to win if we have to cheat to win. Clemson is still a really solid program. It is really sad when we have a lose to see some of our fans act like coot fans by actions comments and throwing the program under the bus.
Former Defensive Coordinator BV’s has not had the success fans expected when he was hired away from Clemson. If fact they are already talking about the next HC Shane Beamer. Both Clemson and Alabama have 2 losses. Would you also say Bama is in shambles. ??? If we finish the season with 2 loses are we in shambles. ???
Last night Clemson players give me the impression that they did not want to be there. They showed no enthusiasm, energy and displayed a lack of effort and desire.
I would say the officials appear to be the ones in shambles. Even several sports media outlets have talked about how bad CF aka pay for play officiating has become and is getting worse not better. With the official’s ability to have more control on the games outcome, it makes me wonder if some officials are betting on college sports under the table.
Dabo has to deal with unhappy fans, NIL, the TP, poor officiating, changes in scholarships , the number of players a team will be able to have on the roster going forward. Tampering with his recruits and much more. Who do those that support firing Dabo think should be the next HC and how far are you willing to go to be Elite ??? What parts of Clemson’s Culture based on honesty, character and integrity are you willing to compromise to become Elite year after year ??? Since the government has become so involved in college athletics certain programs have really benefited ( we know who they are )while it has become more difficult for some programs like Clemson to stay at the top every year. Many fans and players wanted to take out their anger on some high level administrators at Clemson over the departure of Danny Ford. Dabo had accomplished more than Coach Ford yet some fans want to give Dabo what I call “ a Ken Hatfield “ !
Some fans have made negative comments about Dabo’s salary, but they tend to for get how much Dabo has done for Clemson. He is responsible for bringing in more money to Clemson University and the surrounding communities and businesses.
I am looking forward to the next game. Last is over in my mind. And I am still “ All In “ with Dabo and his staff as well as the team.
