First of all, both teams maybe called Tigers, but the real Death Valley isn't a shared named for both teams. The only Death valley is in Clemson South Carolina, and the Tigers in Baton Rouge Louisiana has been trying to steal our stadiums name since we lost to them at the "Sugar Bowl" in 1959. As we all know in college sports teams will go back and forth defeating each other but a loss to a team doesn't give them the right to try and steal the team that lost stadium name. Clemson's FB stadium was named Death Valley in 1948 and it wouldn't matter if LSWho beat Clemson in FB throughout history, Clemson's FB stadium will be the only Death Valley and the LSWho stadium will always be Deaf Valley regardless of how many times they defeat our FB team bc Clemson and Clemson fan will not allow out stadium name be stolen from us by LSWho or any other FB program!!! They may as well stop the dumbshit bc we're not going to allow our stadium name be stolen by LSWho or anybody else, period, and just bc they say they are Death Valley; it isn't so just bc they want to steal the name!!!
The only true Death Valley FB stadium is in Clemson South Carolina, and it absolutely isn't anywhere near Baton Rouge Louisiana!!! Suck it LSWho fans with your Deaf Valley FB stadium!!!

To begin with i wouldn't have went any farther with that idiot than this one thing, Clemson was being called Death Valley long before the LSWho fan began calling their stadium Death Valley. They called their stadium Deaf Valley bc of the noise they can they generate with over 100,000 fans filling their stadium!!! Also somebody needs to tell him that it isn't hard find for the ones smart enough to type in Clemson's Death Valley into their GPS or in their cell phone and it will take him to the front gate of the real Death Valley. Not sure why this is even up for debate. Clemson stadium is known as Death Valley and LSU stadium is known as Deaf Valley. The fact that LSU and SEC fans have not been able to distinguish the difference between the 2 words (Death and Deaf) proves something I was taught a long time ago... We wouldn't have our amazing history without Auburn; it's true our team name & colors are derivative by nature, albeit in that case it was a symbol of respect for their contributions, rather than an otherwise random naming we take personally in 2025 like with LSU.
It's funny how things work out, but man, we sure take the Finebaum bait & then we end up committing to the bit forever. I'll never understand how we became this way (we kinda used to be the opposite & a beacon of optimism & positivity instead, & not that long ago), but it's just something some of us have to stomach every time it happens is all.

This will be settled on the field.
Clemson fans will have their chance to legitimize that our stadium is as loud and intimidating as any in the country.
This being the first game of the season and clearly our biggest test of the year , I have no doubt they will answer the bell.
The fans in general are a reflection of what we see on TigerNet.
And what I've seen is a thrill and excitement to get this thing going that we haven't had around here since the season we anxiously awaited to see Trevor Lawrence take the field after it became obvious how special he was.

I remember watching an LSU vs Miss State game and a good portion of the LSU fan base got up and left at half time. Tigers almost came back to win, but in front of an empty stadium. LSU is like Texas A$M all bark and little bite. They got lucky a few years ago when OHio a state transfer Joe Burrow led them to a title, but as soon as Burrow was gone, tigers were crap again.

There have been more than a few people to have researched this and have written documents and newspaper articles. LSU was 1st called 'Deaf Valley' because of the noise, not 'Death Valley'. Clemson was first called 'Death Valley' I believe by the Presbyterian College coach many years ago because that's where teams went to die, otherwise get beat. So Baldy Finebaum is wrong again!!! someone should challenge him with a monetary bet. Finebaum is being sexually abused by the SEC.
I believe that 'Tiger Rag' also has a similar story, and was first played at Clemson.

For some, "Death" actually predated "Deaf" in Baton Rouge. On Jan. 1, 1959, when LSU and Heisman Trophy winner Billy Cannon capped the school's first national title with a 7-0 victory in the Sugar Bowl, some of those fans stole "Death" when describing the home valley. Why? Because they believed they had earned that right after defeating the team that was already using the name for its home stadium.

The first known "Death Valley" reference tossed Memorial Stadium's way came more than 10 years before Peele's nickname. In 1945, Lonnie McMillan, head coach of the rival Presbyterian College Blue Hose, had just endured a 76-0 rout at the hands of the orange-and-white Tigers. At the time, tradition held that PC and Clemson always played the season opener. And those games, in September in South Carolina, are essentially like playing football inside a pottery kiln, especially on Clemson's home field, which sits in a natural gorge, built atop bedrock and surrounded by reflective white concrete.
According to the official Clemson history books, McMillan had visited the Mojave Desert a decade earlier en route the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He compared the unpleasantness of that midsummer desert experience to his September visits to play the Tigers, saying Clemson was "college football's Death Valley." Frank Howard, the gregarious Alabama grad who had taken over as Clemson head coach five years earlier, loved the story and repeatedly recounted it. He told it so much, it eventually stuck."
