Bless his heart. Years ago when he and Taylor Zarzour did the early morning show on ESPN radio the two of them were unapologetic SEC homers. Every topic of discussion was about the SEC or quickly segwayed back to an SEC superiority narrative. Unless you were a brainwashed SEC fan yourself the show was insufferable. I have to think ESPN eventually recognized they weren’t servicing college football fans across the nation and really only stroking the egos of one limited group. Hence the line up change to a different former QB who could provide objective dialogue.

Since that change I think I have noticed a concerted effort by McElroy to try not to be such a homer and attempt to come across a bit more professional as an analyst / broadcaster. ….Yet his bias is still evident at times.

As for Taylor Zarzour, he works for SEC Network so he never learned from the experience, he took an even deeper dive into SEC stupidity.
