"the SEC, the premier conference in all of college football."

Very 1st statement from our long time DC at his new job, IN THE BIG 12, and this gets said. SEC schools will be using this against us in recruiting.

Are you naive enough to think they don't already use that?

Yeah but there hasn’t been a former coordinator hired straight away from Clemson leave and say that.

They are a powerhouse of for no other reason than Bama so I don’t see the issue here. Adding Texas and Oklahoma to that means they grow stronger. We are in a ###### conference and we all know it

It was scripted by OU for sucking up to the SEC.

Because they may be moving to the SEC as soon as next season and that is where their future is. They may possibly still play another year or two in the Big XII depending on how the contracts fall but that's not their future like the SEC is.

Why? As long as we can get the money right the rest

doesn’t matter. Also, I like fans being allowed on the field after games, passes out at halftime and kids under 2 allowed in without tickets. You can’t do any of that in the SEC.

Lol why? Clemson has done a pretty good job dominating the ACC aside from this year (which still went pretty well at 6-2 in conference) and able to get to the playoff most years. And with playoff expansion almost inevitable at this point, all Clemson will have to do is win the ACC and they are in. Moving is just asking for trouble at this point.

The chasm between SEC money and ACC money is only going to get wider, and it’s going to be harder to continue to hang and recruit with the big boys being at such a disadvantage. And even if being the big fish in the small ACC pond gets us to the CFP, (which isn’t guaranteed) you have compete once you get there. I know we did in the past a couple of times, but those days are getting further and further in the rear view mirror.

Sooner fans were having SEC buyers remorse when Riley left

I would not be surprised if school officials are really pushing BV to hype up the move to try to calm some of those fears.

Being in the Big XII, I've watched both Texas and Oklahoma start a downward spiral. Oklahoma lost to both Baylor and Oklahoma State. Barely beat the second tier teams in their league. Texas got mauled the second half of the season and topped it off by losing to Kansas. Things are going to get ugly real fast when they enter the SEC. Riley may be a traitor, but he isn't stupid. he knew when to jump ship.
