Oct. 19 Homecoming. Virginia has been HC opponent many times back in the day. White meat you know. It's supposed to be cool and falling leaves for Tigerama and HC.

home after several AWAY games in a row? Such would have been the case with the Virginia game this year, which EYE would have dubbed as Homecoming. But, once again, for the 69th year in a row, they didn't ask me.

Homecoming has nothing to do with coming home after several away games. It's for alumni to come back home to Clemson!

Seems like it has always been in October with maybe a handful of exceptions in Sept and early November. Whoever is running our GameDay atmosphere and events is clueless. Must be a coot.

I think because there's only one home game in October (which is the pink breast cancer game) so they had to make HOCO earlier this year....it's a travesty that Clemson only gets ONE home game in October. Thanks ACC....

Sorry, Just checked and it is the Monday and Tuesday of that week which would not leave a full week for preparation of floats and festivities.

One year I was there we had HC the week after fall break, technically we lost a few days on float prep which made it tricky. That being said, we definitely don’t know how we were able to fully construct and pomp a nascar overnight, it definitely wasn’t done off campus ahead of time and unloaded from a pontoon boat trailer in the middle of the night though. That would be against the rules…
