Will keep that chip, persevere and you will go far. God has a plan. Keep your mind open. Regardless of what happens, you are always a Tiger.

Go Tigers

Great young man with a bright future… just not in the NFL.

LOL, I have to agree with you. I get amused by stories like these. If Putnam has a chip on his shoulder because he didn't get invited to the Combine, or All Star games, it is because his own lack of notable performances over a five year college career put it there. Any thoughts he has of suddenly reversing all that history and claiming a spot on an NFL team most likely leave his head the first time he gets overwhelmed and knocked on his kiester by REAL NFL defensive linemen in a preseason tryout somewhere.

Now, he may surprise the hail out of me, and not only make a team, but actually go on to be a productive O-Lineman in the league. I would be VERY happy if he did. Clemson NEEDS more of our guys to find success in the league, not just be "fringe" type players, if they make it at all. I just can't see Putnam being one of the ones that does it. I DO believe that Clemson has given him a good foundation for LIFE, and that he WILL be successful in THAT endeavor. Life is what really matters, anyway.

“Projected to be undrafted” sounds about right.
