My pre camp guess would be Antonio Williams. But wouldn't be surprised if Tyler Brown and Cole Turner are back there to start the season either.

I like Williams. He could be explosive and we need that.

A sure handed WR. That's what we've become accustomed to seeing. Dabo is of the opinion that ball security takes precedent over the fastest or most dynamic players on the team
See Hunter Renfrow
I believe Stellato might fill that role however that doesn't preclude others from returning kicks.
It's actually a situational decision.
Meaning that field position and the score are the two biggest factors.

That's true for punts, not kickoffs

Not certain but I believe the kick off and punt returner would handle the duties

J/k
Probably Tyler Brown and Antonio Williams, and possibly Jamarius Haynes.

I agree. Tyler Brown or Haynes, most likely, or a sure handed receiver similar to Hamp Greene.

If Sammy Brown ain't playing much (unlikely I know), heck, let him return a few. That would scare the opponents' kick and punt teams.

Sammy Brown would be scary for opposing teams. There was a Michigan player a few years ago that played offense and defense. Can't remember his name, but he was pretty dynamic.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Jay Haynes potentially taking that role. He’s got great speed. But knowing Dabo, he’ll probably mix in several guys. Tyler Brown and Antonio Williams are probably the two other most likely candidates. They are the most experienced returners on the 2024 roster and are both nifty in the open field when healthy.
Adam Randall, Misun Kelley, Jarvis Green, and Josh Sapp each had 1 return last year, so they might be other possibilities. Some of the other WR’s could get into the mix as well. Another reason I’d love seeing Haynes get the job is that if should help reduce injury risk for those primary receivers, which as we all know, has been a big problem the last several years.
But mainly, I just really hope we don’t end up with somebody like Hamp Greene as the primary punt returner again. I understand that Dabo prioritizes surehandedness, but you’ve gotta have a player with some level of open field athleticism in order to get any sort of value out of that position. Otherwise you’re just wasting the opportunity to pick up any major returns, which can be a crucial component of your offensive success. That was hard to watch last year, especially considering the level of performance of the rest of the offense.
