We’ve gotten some studs from Daniel, and most don’t cost a scholarship. I don’t see a problem with walk-ons from Daniel….
You probably don’t like water because it is wet, or snow because it is cold. Many Good Daniel players dream of playing for Clemson.
NUK has often said he graduated from Daniel, because he hasn’t graduated from Clemson. So, he’s proud of Daniel!
When the Team limit is 105, the team will miss the walk-ons…..

Any walk on who doesn’t get one of the 20 spots, and wants to continue playing football, will have to transfer. Stinks that you have to choose between the school you love and the sport you love.

I don't think so. The rule is a limit of 105 players - and 105 scholarships. A school doesn't have to have every one of the 105 on scholarship.
OTOH, I'd sure feel left out if I was a walk-on who was allowed to stay on the team and not given a scholarship.

Get picked up, if he does it will be a much less competitive program, and very unlikely to make any significant NIL money. Though $20k is $20 k if he can get that.

Heck, it might be no more than getting a small private college to provide a partial scholarship for Crosby’s theoretical Masters program (perhaps it pays just enough so that tuition + expenses at the small private school are equivalent to the costs at Clemson for a walk-on.
The extra value being that Mr. Crosby would be granted the partial scholarship for the duration of his Masters program (two to four years)
Even in that case, Mr. Crosby would benefit by getting to play organized college FB for another year (possibly being a two-way star) in addition to a subsidiy for the cost of his Masters education.
I could think of worse choices in life.
