Which fans are more confident?

4

Sep 22, 2023, 3:18 PM

Here is my observation: The confidence level of individual fans for each team varies from "We're gonna kill them" to "We're gonna get massacred.

But, spending time this week surfing the net I am amazed that more fans of both teams, are very nervous. I see more FSU fans thinking Clemson will win (after last week's debacle with BC) and more Clemson fans thinking FSU will win than the other way. At least that is what is seems to me as I just surf the net.

Not that it means anything, but I find it interesting.

My guess: Clemson 34 - FSU 31.

I keep looking at replays of the FSU/BC game and in spite of coaches saying "It was just a case of 1 guy missing an assignment" I ain't buying it. I saw the middle of the field void of defenders way too often for it to just be "a missed assignment." There is no doubt in my mind that FSU will have to prove they can cover draw plays and crossing patterns and backs coming out of the backfield. If Noles can do that, Noles will win. If they do it no better than they did last week, Clemson will have 500 yards of offense and 50 points.

It is probably safe to leave a void of defenders in the middle against us.

Agree, and Clemson fans seem more optimistic...

.... about FSU's chances than FSU fans are.

That is my observation.

Speaking as an outsider, I think there are a lot of folks writing off Clemson prematurely. I think they win a close one.

On a side note, thanks for beating the coots last week.

I regret that we didn't give them a proper beatdown.

Bret, may the best team win tomorrow.

Playing at BC is kinda like playing at Wake or Duke...

They are all abeyant or almost lifeless environments that can lead to an apathetic performance by opposing teams. I have witnessed it first hand.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Wake or Duke would beat BC soundly...

.... on any given Saturday.

BC would be a pick em game against FAU.

My guess earlier this wk was 31-28 Clemson with Weitz kicking a scary FG end of the first half. I think we get behind by a TD and win it in the 4th. But Im in same boat with it being close and relatively lower scoring. If we get behind by 2 TDs, I think we will likely lose.

Let’s just say I have a Plan B if things go south quickly for Clemson. My dove fields are holding birds and ready to go.

Both seem somewhat pessimistic or neutral to me.

Clemson is going to have to run the ball very well. Though fsu secondary may be their weakness, Clemson wide receivers is ours.

Jared verse could have a big game if Clemson gets behind early. I did like how Riley never gave up on the running game vs Duke despite the score.

I like fsu 28-23. 3 field goals for the new kicker
