I know we all get a little banter going but this is the BEST advice you will get I promise - I have told you a few times already but it will be too late very soon
Stock up on some physical silver - you will not be disappointed - not certificates, physical

Do your own research and see how much silver is shorted to keep the price down. It is the most manipulated investment and they need to keep it low so people don't really see inflation. There is not anywhere near enough to fill those certificates - It's a house of cards

So if this was the case, why are prices flat. Secondly, look at how much gold the banks are buying and yet it remains relatively flat as well.

Put it in the garage? Under my bed? And how might I spend it? Shave some off and put the silver dust in a ziplock bag?
Finally, how do I factor in the 10-20% surcharge when buying and selling it bulk? Should I consider that part of my profit/loss?

I actually bought a couple lbs of physical gold twentyish years ago when it was around $400 an ounce. Kept it in a safe and then sold most of it a few years ago for $1900 an ounce. That's not exactly life changing profit but it could have certainly been done in greater quantities if someone had the resources.

be worth the purchase costs, carrying costs, and the increased costs to sell. If it were that valuable..who would be stupid enough to trade their stupid paper money for my valuable silver?
If I'm that worried about the economy crashing, the best buys for the aspiring prepper are going to be lead (as in bullets), toilet paper, and cocaine.

I'm all set for the zombie apocalypses, been for a decade or more now.

In a safe. A 1600-lb fireproof safe, with anchor bolts drilled into a steel-reinforced concrete slab, with a sensor that sets off an alarm that calls the cops if the door is opened, or the safe is moved an inch.
