Where did Dumbo Fisher get the idea that...

...a "chop block" foul was flagged? At game clock 11:21 of the 4th quarter the zebra says "block below the waist". That ain't a "chop block" call so does Dumbo have a hearing problem? Did he assume the flag was for a chop block or is Dumbo not understanding the difference?

Click the video I linked and hear it yourself. Maybe that's why Dumbo was pissed...he heard it wrong.

Nope. Block below the waist. The signal is similar or identical though, maybe that's what was confusing ol' Jimbo.

No, a block below the waist is legal outside the tackle box, as long as it is initiated from the front between the 10 o'clock and the 2 o'clock position to the player being blocked. The reason the FSU one was illegal is the player initiated it from the back.

FSU post game press conference when a press member asked Fisher about the "chop block". Fisher was just waiting for that question and just exploded. Certainly not a chop block under any circumstance.

Isn't a "block below the waist" the same thing as what we old f*rts call clipping?

it was a shoulder to shoulder pad block and some grave injustice was done.
He blew it. Lost his temper. And then we got a no call on the blatant hold in the end zone....
Choke on it Jimbo. 3 losses on your season and you might wind up with a couple more.
