Where are Tigers as far as MLB Draft?

Looking at the current roster, there are A LOT of FR. & SO. listed, but with redshirting, some may be draft eligible. Wagner is the only guy I see who could be an option this year (and hopefully Grice will figure it out again). As far as the guys "committed" for the Fall of '22, the only one I'm aware of being significant pedigree is Tristan Smith of Boiling Springs. I do know the class was highly ranked, but Perfect Game is subscription only on their Clemson Recruit page.
I'm glad MLB moved the Draft back until after the CWS, but any input is appreciated.

Anglin is likely going to go pro wherever he gets drafted. He turned down some money last year to come back (if I recall). Wagner is probably gone as well since he will be draft eligible and will likely be taken relatively high. Before the season, I thought the Nicks (Clayton and Hoffman) had a chance to be drafted high enough to see them go pro. Now I am not sure if either are really pro prospects. Gilbert is likely gone if he gets drafted. Good arm but not sure his size and durability are going to allow him to be a major leaguer someday.
Bryar Hawkins could get drafted I guess. But it's more likely that he is still on the team when his grandkids are born.

Anglin and Wagner are gone. Hawkins, Fairey, those guys will be likely be moving on, even if they’re not playing professional ball. Gilbert will probably be drafted, but he’s gone regardless now they Monte is gone. The team should return a lot of talent.
The real problem is going to be with the incoming class. The top 2 guys, Porter and Smith, are both going to be drafted in the first 2 rounds, so they’ll both be going pro. We need arms and they’re both elite pitchers, so it will stink to never see them on campus.

Brock Porter (Signee from Michigan) is going to be a 1st Round pick, he's gone. Tristan Smith (Signee from Boiling Springs) is a fringe 1st rounder but should go in the first 2-3 rounds and probably signs too. Max Wagner has been projected pretty high and will most likely go in the first 3-4 rounds and I assume he signs. I've seen Wagner as high as the bottom of the 1st Round, but he is short and projects as a corner outfielder at the next level, so he will fall a bit because of that is not a premiere position. Anglin looked like a really high draft pick at one point but he's been too inconsistent, I would still assume he goes fairly early and signs.
Other than that I think all the signees make it to campus unless some of them get out of their LOI and go elsewhere like Jackson Kowar and Cal Raleigh did in 2015. Blackwell, Corbitt, Hawkins, Lindley, Hoffman, and Clayton all might have a shot at a mid-later round selection, and then it just depends on how badly they want to move on. I don't think any of them have MLB futures ahead of them, so who truly knows... It's tough to project those mid-late round guys, but for sure I'd bank on Wagner, Anglin, Brock, and Porter not being on the roster in 2023.

Clemson problem that has bit us. We have a few high profile commitments then they go pro. Other teams have many. Some go pro and others chose to play college. So in clemson we have to go back to drawing board. Same goes with several should return to develop. Clemson doesn’t do a good job at that. So guys leave and transfer or go pro early. Then we back to a young team. Many other teams we face are experienced. Hope this changes with a new coach.

I agree, but I think it's the temperament of each individual player, same as football. Some guys want to play 3 years and move on, some will stay and pay their way and get the extra development in college. As much as it sucks sitting on a bus riding through Sister-Kissin, Mississippi making $400/month in Single-A, some of these guys probably can't afford to stay in school longer so that's their best option, you have to remember they're not full scholarships.
One of the downfalls of this staff at times has been relying on those top tier recruits and just holding on for dear life hoping they make it to campus. That causes our recruiting class ranking to jump way up, but then the back half of the recruiting class is filled with borderline P5 players and they didn't develop any of those lesser guys. If you're going to sign 12 project players you better be able to turn a couple of them into some studs, and we just didn't have a good hit-rate on most of them.
