It was fun while it lasted. This team will only get less talented as each year passes.

When you have the amazing retention we do, you will always have small classes.

We do a great job keeping our underachieving stars as well as our five heart recruits.

Actually I was thinking just the opposite. That this was going to be one of our bigger classes with all the attrition. I could be wrong. Either way, it should be an oversign class. Unless we're truly holding spots for transfers.
We can brag all we want, and Dabo loves to talk about our retention, but as I posted below, that retention isn't helping us win more. If anything, we're keeping guys we have zero keeping because they're not contributing.

Thanks Leon. You always come with facts and evidence.
A couple things that are really concerning to me is the record against p4 competition since 2023 is 20-15. Which I believe I'm correct that only 2 wins were against top 20 teams. One being smu last year... which imo was overrated. Only 4 losses were against top 20 teams. So nearly all of our wins and losses were against mediocre competition.
What's even more concerning is the fact that more than 50% of the highest rated recruits in those classes are 2nd or 3rd string and snap counts are low. One example is Vic Burley. Saying, most of the players seeing action from those classes were the lower 2 or 3 star prospects. I'm not naive and understand that happens on every team, but it's alarming that our numbers are skewed so much. Baffling.
Anyway, thanks again for your facts and not just conjecture.

You’re right.
Last years schedule gave us an illusion that we were back. In reality, we just beat a bunch of mediocre/bad teams (except SMU).
