When was the last time we played Florida in football?

We have played most of the teams I want to play including uga, AL, Auburn, tenn and lsu but I don't remember ever playing the Gators.
Other teams I'd like to play are So Cal, Oregon, Texas and Oklahoma. We played the sooners late 80's but don't recall playing the the others.

I know we beat them at home in 1911. Before my time in case anyone was wondering. I doubt that the gators would be interesting in playing todays Tigers in Death Valley. They like the comfort of the SEC!

Clemson has played the gators thirteen times and have a 3-9-1 record against them.
Join IPTAY and purchase a football guide with your tickets. Lots of wonderful info in this book. Mr.Bourret does a great job with it.

the question was not how many games played but when was the last time we played. I answered over 50 years (1961).
BTW: Mr. Bourret does do a great job.

I would love to see Clemson play LSU at Deaf Valley and have them here in a home and home series. I would also love to play Florida (The Swamp), Oregon, Tennessee, Bama, Arkansas, Texas, and Southern Cal in home and home series.
Of course I would love to have a continuous series with UGA.

1961 we lost 21-17. UF has the edge in the all-time series 10-3-1.

for the SEC, based on their own chants around the country, correct. We just beat one of their very best, so therefore, we beat the conference. We therefore beat Florida.

I'd like to see us continue to play some of the OOC teams

on our recent schedule to see how well we are improving year to year.
Games with Presbyterian, Coastal Carolina, Wofford, Furman, The Citadel and SC State make excellent indicators for progress at the state level.
Games with Troy, Ball State, Middle Tennessee and North Texas State Teachers College all make excellent progress indicators at the national level.
