I have been saying this for two full seasons and I was told that I didn't know what I was talking about bc the Man had won us two National Championships, and I wasn't a real fan for saying such things about the coach that had done great things for our university. I say now yes, he did do that that, but he also broke it!!!

Yeah it’s tough to watch. Not as tough when you’re guaranteed 50 million but it’s close.
Security brings about complacency. Any of us would fall victim of it, Dabo is fat and happy and refuses to adapt. That attitude will have to change or .500 seasons are our future.

You are welcome to your opinion, but from what I know of DABO, he is a competitor and hates to lose. He is going to get paid, either way.
I am disgusted by this team and the lack of Blocking and our QB looks lost. He looks a 1 receiver and if not open, pulls it down and gets sacked. I really thought he was better, but he isn’t. It’s time to try something different. I know you don’t want to totally demoralize him, but he’s a big boy and he can take it or not.
Let’s try Vizzina(?) and see what he’s got. This season is lost and I think the recruits might have more confidence coming in, if Dabo is willing to overturn things and see what works. What in the world is it going to hurt. He always says best 11 play, but I’m wondering if that might be a little old or we just don’t have very good young QB’s.

It’s hard to believe two straight highly rated/recruited quarterbacks could play so poorly. I thought a new qb would make a difference when DJ was playing- now I’m not sure. Our offensive players have been regressing the last several years.

Be we have been running the same offense for 12 years lol there’s nothing different or good about it .. it’s very vanilla and very predictable… you can hide that when you have generational talent but when we have to actually scheme things with regular players we are lost … goes back to hires and the failures in recruiting and development, and refusal to use the portal… I don’t care how much 4/5* talent you have it’s not the same as a 23 year old grown man that’s been in college football 4-5 years lol it’s crazy to even think that … we have to adapt man and get some coaches that know how to develop players and recruit. The talent level has fallen also whether you wanna believe it or not but Dabo is at a major major crossroads this off season … it’s time to admit your way was a failure and make the necessary changes or he will be under major fire in the next 2 years

Is it that hard to believe? We used to develop players with experienced coaches. We have swing coaches, in-laws, former teammates and former players with zero experience trying to learn on the fly with premier talented players... READ A BOOK. HIRE BETTER ASSISTANTS THAT WOULD DIE TO BE HERE.

My thoughts exactly. Time/playcalling we wasted in the second half and to end the first half was tough to watch. Lack of downfield attempts throughout the game & especially the last 4 minutes left me dumbfounded. Had to be someone open if 6 was triple covered on the last play & how Cade took a sack on 2nd was just awful. He had plenty of time to throw it or throw it away. He still hasn't figured out hes not outrunning people to the sidelines. Cade has talent but major vision problems & stares down the receiver or side in general every single time. Coaches have to see it on tape every week. Do they not address it? Is Cade coachable? Have we over-coached Cade?

All scheme and no development. The video game player expecting the game to make sure the avatars line up and do the things they are supposed to do.
I think they look at the tape and say “I wish that didn’t happen” but I don’t think they have any idea how to teach it from happening. Get the plays from an analyst and get some real coaches on the sidelines to teach fundamentals.

Watching that was much less traumatizing than watching this offense this season.

The only game during the regular season that KB2 lost was to Syracuse and he was knocked out of the game. He was a 3 star from Wren. I would love to see development like that again.

I’d like to see how anyone on here would handle being blindsided by a DE running full speed off the edge bc the LT totally whiffed by helping the LG block the same guy. Yes he threw the picks but our O line is ABYSMAL. I mean awful. If they can’t / won’t improve, we will continue to struggle no matter who plays QB. Can we get an entire O LINE and O line coach through the portal? Go Tigers !!!!! Win a game please bc 4-8 gonna be a tough pill for donors to swallow……

out who Cade Klubnik is this year. For me he is a sand lot QB. Not even close yet to being a field general. Has no game awareness and will telegraph just about every pass. This boy is so wet behind the ears and has a long long way to go. Question is if he doesn’t mature when does he get the hook.

It's not bizarre, it's poor coaching and poor performance from a poorly developed team. No doubt there's talent but it's not developing, and they aren't being led to win. Undisciplined mistakes and bad coaching.
At this point we need to make the change. If Cades not getting it done, put Helms in. Why we didn't put Quadzilla in on 3rd and 1 at the goaline is insane, that guy leans forward for 3 yards. Defense is doing good, not great, but good. It's not a BV defense but it's good. But the offense. The turnovers.
It's painful to watch.

The oline is a big issue though. They get pressure with a 3 man rush. 3 on 5... no excuse. They are getting beat badly.

That really upset me today as well. A 3 man rush should never touch the QB, but our OL is about as soft as I've ever seen on any team. We need a new OL coach as a start.
As HC Dabo has final say on who's hired and fired, but I think it would be to his advantage to let Garret pick who he wants as offensive position coaches. Be the CEO managing the team, stop trying to be a supervisor with hands on.

It's nice to know that he is taking all the responsibility .What would even be nicer is instead of all the cliches and excuses he would just tell us how he plans to fix it but IMO, he either doesn't know where to start or admit that he has become to buddy-buddy in some of his hiring of former players as coaches. . I have several friends who think the first thing to do is start holding his assistants accountable. Another suggestion is to hire a freaking strength and conditioning coach as is evident by how even teams with less talent seem to control both lines of scrimmage. Next sit you all everything quarterback who probably will transfer when the season ends if he has any sense. Next start using the portal. To heck with the notion you have to use only players you recruit.
Just my final thought, but i think he has become complacent and that complacency has cost us every goal he sets for the team so far this season.

If Dabo has his fingers in the play calling then he needs to get out. We’ve seen his work previously in this regard and it’s not his strength. He’s hired a great OC; he needs to let him succeed or fail on his own Merrits.

NO DABO….THIS TEAM belongs to the thousands of fans who love to watch Clemson play respectful games. What we have seen numerous times, this year and last, is a team that appears to lose any semblance of leadership from a coach who use to care. What happened Dabo? Have the bright lights of stardom and stacks of money made you forget what it takes to build a winning team?

Turning the ball over is not “bizarre”, Dabo. It’s coaching. I played competitive sports for three decades. I’ve been on bad teams and good teams. The good teams created their own luck.. The bad teams find ways to lose, and blame it on “fate” or “bad luck”. The good teams I played on, had great coaching, solid fundamentals, and a winning attitude. You had to take the game from us, we weren’t gonna give it to you. The bad teams always seem to have a streak of “bad luck”, but reality was the coach didn’t teach fundamentals and left too much to chance. That’s where we are. This football team is poorly coached, and certain circumstances lead to losses. And the Dabo seems to blame it on fate. I know that he knows better, there’s something very off with him. I think maybe he wants to quit

I slept through most of bc of a kidney stone that has ruled over whatever the day brings and that is a part of life that we just roll through the punches. But there is a bright side for my condition, and that is I'll pass this stone in a day or two and there will only be a memory of this stone, but I have probably 60 other memories just like this one will be, over and done with and a trail of a lot of pain left behind.
I want to say that the pain of watching our FB team go from riches to rags, and all of us old timers have seen it before. The saddest part is that it didn't have to be this way bc nobody twisted Dabo's arm and told him that he had to cut cost within his coaching staff, or did they? We'll probably never have the answer to that question. There is a reason for everything that happens, and I would really like to know why Dabo didn't do a search for the best coaches that he could have gotten for this team, and the teams behind this one that started the down fall of what was great for Clemson and the fan base that has invested hundreds and thousands of bucks into the longevity of the continued success of our FB program.
Am I the only one that would love to know the reason behind Dabo loading our coaching staff with inexperienced coaches that there's no doubt in my mind the reason behind the fall of what was a great FB program that just made a six time run for the NC winning two of the biggest titles that can be won in college FB to what we're seeing take the field in the now era. There is a reason for everything that happens, so what were the reasons behind Dabo going the way that he did when it was time to replace his coaching staff bc I don't believe for a second that he just forgot how he made Clemson FB successful before the product we see now taking the field. What was the reason for such inept coaching hires that is coaching our kids today?

The problem is not that he forgot anything, it is that Dabo misjudged what made those teams great. Because a lot of the staff was from within, especially on the offensive side of the ball (Elliot, Scott, Streeter), Dabo thought that would work again. Hopefully, he has come to the realization of the fanbase, that what made them good was something other than where they came from.
Those teams also had great team leaders. I just don't see them on this team. Maybe you could make the argument that Trotter, Jr is but I don't think that leadership crosses line of scrimmage like some of the leaders on past teams. Leadership normally comes naturally, but it can be developed. I'm not sure that this coaching staff hasn't taken that leadership for granted and ignored their role in developing it.

Dabo, the coaching is on you, too many times this year we have been mugged on offense. Perhaps a change is in order with the coaching staff.
Doing the same thing expecting different results is insanity!
Time to bring in outside coaching with ideas!
