jump all over this. When airplanes with no mechanical problems hit the ground, somebody who should know better did something preventable, and Dan details it really well. People are understandably nonjudgemental in cases like this, but Dan's thing is, "With all honor and regret to the families involved, we have to learn from things like this, so here's who screwed up, and why he shouldn't have." Dan flies a DC-3, so he might be a little peeved that one of the few remaining B-17's was lost. I'm going to look at his channel, see what he says.

That was also one of less than a handful of flightworthy P63s as well. krzywife wants to know why they were on the same altitude.

there were planes everywhere. Those guys are great pilots with lots of experience. Either some plane was not where he was told to be, or it was a matter of giving too many people too much leeway. Or something like that. In the interim, here is a short clip from Juan Browne, goes by blancolirio (white lily), is an ex fighter pilot, has a great channel. Does more news than analysis. He and Gryder seem to get along very well. This is a short comment by Browne.
