Sit Dabo down and say. Ok man, time to change with the times.
Today's loss just proved we aren't a national power anymore. We still can win some games and maybe win ACC.
MOST programs would be happy to win 8/9 games, compete for division title and maybe a spot in CFP, but we got a taste of the good stuff and want more.
I hate to bring DJ up but be really set us back, we thought we were set for 3-4 years with a 5 star guy and we didn't really recruit another QB hard, so we ended up with Cade. I think he was a 5 star guy but not a top tier 5 star.
We've struggled horribly at QB and it starts with that position.
My point is.... At some point, the money guys are gonna sit Dabo down and tell him things gotta change.
OR, 15-25th ranking every year is the new"standard"

Not going to happen anytime soon. If this continues for another couple years they would probably start issuing some warnings MAYBE

If we don’t win the ACC I think the conversation will happen. We don’t appear to have made good choices at qb and are paying the price.
Al the other programs just bring in a gunslinger from another team when they miss with their recruiting. We handicap ourselves with promises to recruits. It’s admirable, but this is a business and solid decisions need to be made when necessary.

I'm convinced with Dabo's loyalty to his belief when it comes to the portal that if he was told to change he would resign immediately.I hope and pray Dabo will prove in the very very near future if not this season then in the next couple seasons prove his not wanting to use the portal can still result in championships.

Cade also was the number one Qb in his class…as hard as that is to believe. He actually balled out in the elite 11 and outshined Ewers
But yeah I agree Qb development has been nonexistent going back to Hunter Johnson. Don’t know if we just recruited the wrong guys or if it is on the coaches but yeah back to back whiffs at the most important position has devastated the program.

Our first priority was Ty Simpson and when he chose Alabama we settled for Cade. And then we didn’t get a QB in the next cycle so we had to red shirt CV. And then we told Blake if he signed we wouldn’t go after another QB from the 25 class. And then we sign (2) 3 stars for 26. During all of this we thumbed our noses at some portal QBs who might have helped us.
This just seems like a microcosm of how decisions are being made these days.
