We lost to #21 and #16, along with two unranked teams. With the exception of our upset of Kentucky, we really haven’t beaten any (highly?) regarded teams. Lastly, and as sarcastically mentioned before, Brownell’s reputation hurts him (us?).
But as usual, pollsters are crap, and will always push their ‘narrative’ - SEC, B1G, etc. - so you will save yourself some grief by annoying the polls. Just win, baby!
Besides, after we beat NC State, they’ll move us up to give Duke a chance for a top 25 loss….

When you lose games that you should have won. We could easily be 19-2. Our end of season will be interesting. We have to focus on one game at a time and not look at our opponents records.

Well we don’t have an upset win over Kentucky like Vandy. Oh wait, we do. With UNC and Dukie coming up we will have our chance to play our way up the rankings.

Problem is Vandy has multiple wins against highly ranked opponents , we do not. The loss to the worst team in the SEC is dead weight around our necks right now .

The rationale is that the polls are opinions, with bias.
They don’t matter at all. The NET Rankings are what to watch. We are 30th there and in good position for the postseason as it stands today.

Most of matrix have the Tigers in the top 25 in nation in rankings that why most bracket predictions have Clemson as a high 7th seed to 6th seed, so the rankings really don't mean squat...
