You can get coins by getting TU's and rewards for your posts and you can purchase coins. You can then use purchased or received coins to give awards to posters for good content.

When I got my first private office in industry, there was a

thicker than normal, very heavy light tan plastic briefcase leftover on the bookshelf in that office. At least I thought that's what it was, until I finally pulled it off the shelf and looked at it.
Turns out, it was a COMPAQ "laptop"? Must have been one of the first ever. It weighed a ton, and the actual screen, when you opened it up, was only about 10"x 12" maybe. I wish I had kept it, I bet it would be worth something as a real antique now.
