I See That Some of Us Are Still Spoiled

Even after a win against a ranked opponent during an away game, some fans are still upset. That's insanity at its finest. The sad reality is that we could be like the Gamecocks and blow a 27-point lead by allowing 28 unanswered points in a single half. As it sits now, I see Clemson finishing this season 8-5 which is far from acceptable, but it can be considered respectable whenever you consider the kind of season this has been.
Do I want Coach Swinney to make a major staff overhaul? Absolutely, but it has always been his style to wait until the season ends to make major changes to the program. Definitely get rid of the support staff full of former players that have no experience in developing players. Player development has been an utter nightmare for about 5 years now. It's time for some seasoned veterans to fill those roles. Do we need a new coordinator? Maybe on offense, but Allen hasn't had a chance to recruit his first class yet. I have a feeling that some of his seasoned players from Penn State will transfer to Clemson this offseason and he'll have some younger guys cooking in the proverbial crockpot.
Do we need new position coaches? I'd say yes, but not a total overhaul. Mike Reed and Mickey Conn need to be let go in my opinion. Tyler Grisham and CJ Spiller need to find a new gig as well. However, they are recruiting powerhouses so, we have to figure out what the miss is in development of players that are recruited. To my limited understanding, the support staff and analyst are responsible for player development, and the position coaches are expected to receive game day ready players to coach and install the game plan during practice and the playbook during camps. If that is indeed the case, then the issue at hand isn't the position coaches or coordinators, but rather the player development and analyst that have 10 mins of experience combined. Those roles need to be filled by partially retired former head coaches and coordinators who have 30 years of coaching experience.
Only time will tell what Coach Swinney decides to do, but I believe that he will make the necessary changes at the end of the season. Until then, just try to enjoy the fact that we get to watch Clemson football and enjoy the team and game that we love. We wait all year for 12 short weeks of this amazing sport, and it flashes by in the blink of an eye. Then it's back to counting the months, weeks, and days until the season opener again.
GO TIGERS!

I think one could make the argument based off Adam Randall's performance in the last 10-11 months as an RB, that whoever has been teaching/developing that position has done a pretty solid job
I get it, we can have questions about whether or not Davidson should've had more carries, but purely looking at Randall's development, I think whoever bears that responsibility gets a stay of execution...

If you think having a functional offense and defense plus players playing half way up to their talent level is spoiled, one of us needs a reset for expectations

Is why some of us are still genuinely angry with the season. This isn’t about one game, or even just this season. This has been years in the making. Years of fundamentals falling apart, years of slow or non existent player development, years of excuses for losses when we play a team with a pulse. And all along the way have been terrible, unqualified coaching hires that have been replaced both too slowly and too few in number to avoid this dumpster fire of a season.
We’re mad because had Dabo made the necessary changes to the coaching staff when he should have 2-3 years ago and filled the staff with experienced, qualified, hired we could have been legitimate title contenders this year and likely not on the verge of another underwhelming season in 2026.
Can Dabo make the necessary changes to get us back? I wholeheartedly believe he can and hope that he will. But given his more recent interviews and actions I’m concerned we will continue to get half-as*ed changes rather than the major staff overhaul to get rid of the friends and family we direly need.
I also do not expect any changes mid season, nor any indication from CDS that he will make changes and create a lame duck situation at any of the coaching positions.
But in the meantime, yes, many of us are going to continue to be mad because this season could have been special instead of shi**y, and that should make anyone who loves this team at least a little grumpy if not downright pis*ed off

Understand what you are saying and you're entitled, but

we hear this or something like it dozens, maybe hundreds, of times daily, often by the same 50 posters, give or take. We get it about the F&F, nepo, coaching, player development, S&C, play calling, NIL, portal losses, portal usage, fill gaps, facilities, lots of $$ available, not enough $$ available, coaches' salaries, changes needed, etc...
The problem besides the enormous repetition is the delivery where most of these posts seem angry to the point where posters will write something extreme just to get reactions. And these posters will NEVER say anything positive about the program. It gets to the point where it just seems arrogant and annoying.
So in the midst of a disappointing season we win a game on the road against a ranked team, we could probably use a bit of a reprieve and at least enjoy it for a little while. But instead of that, inflammatory posters come on immediately and continue the wicked daily diatribe. What gives?

What gives? Even if they won’t admit it, I believe some on here wanted the Tigers to lose the last two games.
And I mean some who are not coots.
Note that I said “I believe”, so this is an opinion.

I think the worry is that we’ll get some sort of moral victory that will again give Dabo an excuse for doing what is necessary to get us back on the right track. We can suffer one or two charity case coaches, but without major changes on his staff many of us worry we will just remain a mid tier program on the national stage, and there’s really no reason for it given Dabos proven ability and our university’s commitment to the football program.
At the end of the day I want to see the tigers succeed on the field. And that doesn’t mean national championship or bust, it’s ACC title game appearances, and playoff victories. It means we can hang with any team in the country for 4 quarters, not that we’ll necessarily win them all. But it also means we aren’t going to go over a calendar year at home without beating a P4 team, or be 500 in the ACC of all places. And of course it means beating the coots, especially at home

People would legit rather watch us lose and be "right" than being happy with a win on the road on a short week against a ranked team.
I'm not a huge Brownell fan but I'm happy when we win games.
