Wife tried a new one tonight, Big Hog Loin wrapped completely with Bacon. Sides of Fried Squash and Zucchini and sliced maters. Fat Boy Iscream Sammich. Finished off with a couple of pulls of Rabbit Hole then hitting the sack.

Haven't been there in years. The one here in cooterville closed. Two things I used to like were the build your own taco salad and a good fat burger.

Yesterday, I commented on the question re. Supper vs Dinner. Someone wanted me to expound on it tonight.
The practice of 3 meals a day evolved from Roman Rule to the 1930's in Europe and the USA . INITIALLY, most folks ate one big meal a day. It was called dinner.
Supper is mostly a agrarian term confined pretty much to the south. Before electricity reached the rural south, farmers arose at the break of dawn and started work on farm. By noon, they had put in 6 hours of work and were hungry. They ate a large meal at noon, and it was called dinner. They had to prepare the meal over a cast iron stove and it was all made from scratch. Took a lot of time to prepare and they needed daylight. After quitting work for day at dark, they usually ate a bowl of soup. Easy to prepare from leftovers and this was called the soup meal. Later expanded to just, souper and eventually to Supper.
So, when one uses the term Supper, it generally means a light meal. The term dinner means a bigger meal.
So, I suppose, if we are eating more than a bowl of soup, we should say, "Hey, what's for Dinner!!"
But, I still like SUPPER, AND I'M STICKING TO IT!! IT IS WHAT I WAS RAISED ON HEARING AND SAYING. AND GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Until I started school I don't think I ever heard the word lunch. It was always breakfast, dinner and supper.

Literally, I took thin pork chops, salt, pepper, flour and beat it with parchment paper using a rubber mallet. Then fried until crispy, served with polenta fries, Mac n cheese, and a martini. Delicious.
