What we saw Saturday night:

Aug 31, 2014, 12:29 AM

We can try to blame coaches, players, cheerleaders but the home team with more highly rated players won the game. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO. We have a way to go before we can expect to win on the road with as many inexperienced skill players . THE better team found a way to win.

I think that if we had a real RB, and not a RB that has inherited the job, we could have won the game. When you get pinned back deep, having a good RB is what gives you a chance to get up out of there. With a good RB, they would have had to pay as much attention to the RB as they do our receivers. When a defense knows they can coral your RB with just their front 4, you know they are daring you to try and pass your way out of the hole they have your head held down in. I don't see any hope for our running game unless Morris gets Choice ready to go.

This is how we could have won. Make those 1st half catches and get a couple of scores including the missed FG, play better special teams (stay in lane) and we go into the lead at the half probably like 27-14. Only two 1st half TD's on offense. That forces them to try and throw more. Then if we cod just kick one more field goal the you put them in a bind. However, we couldn't have even more opposite of those things...maybe because if youth...maybe coaching... Maybe we aren't as good this year. We better fix these things, otherwise it'll be a long season.

Did hopper even play tonight? I thought he had the most potential as an emerging player with some experience.

I saw Gurley average 13 yards per carry, and Chubb averaged 17. Those are big numbers.
