They scored 47 points against a good Duke defense.

All you need to know is that they can put up some points. Even in their 2 losses they put up 31 and 46. Not the best of defenses, but we don't want Maye to even take a breath. Keep him in the pocket, he does better on the move. Don't let Hampton run and keep Tez Bryant covered.

Good points. I think if we can limit Maye and Walker we should win the game. Also, just limit the big plays that the Tarheels usually have.

Maye leads the nation in big play throws (31). He, Tez and Hampton are a deadly trio, together with our TEs. UNC's OL is only average so that's a concern of mine.
The defense had shown signs of improvement this season through the Miami game but the bottom has dropped out on the defense since the UVA game. We are particularly bad, as of late, in the 4th qtr, regularly giving up 200+ yards.
The only way the Tar Heels win is with a shoot out in the 40s.

Agreed. Duke is a solid team, but a much different situation than when we opened with them. Had they properly reviewed the red zone interception, that game would probably have been over.
UNC seems similar to us in that you don’t know what team will show up week to week. -7 seems a bit high to me, but we handled them pretty well last year. Nothing about this offense makes me comfortable, but I’m cautiously optimistic that the defense will make enough plays to tilt the field and keep too much pressure off our offense.

All you need to know is their offense is Top 3 in yards per game. Another shootout coming tomorrow.

I hope it’s not a shootout. That is not the type game we will win. We need to control the ball and ground and pound. We would lose a shootout imo.

Best win was over Miami. We did beat dook but let’s be honest, dook is really banged up right now. The other wins are against bad to mediocre teams. Heels have some amazing playmakers on offense But the D is beyond atrocious. Heels absolutely can not stop the run against anyone! Clemson running backs should have a big day.
