What the B1G expansion is really about....

1st, this expansion is not about football, basketball, or academics. It's about markets. The B1G wins because adding these schools forces cable subscribers to carry the B1G network from Maryland to New York.

2nd, No one from Maryland to New York are going to give two pennies to watch B1G football because of Maryland and Rutger (other than alumni). These are professional sports markets. Same reason no one cares what happens with BC atheltics. Maryland will become the the Wake Forest/Vanderbilt of the B1G.
