1) The combined record of opponents faced thus far:
OSU: 19-21
Mich: 20-24
UGA: 24-20
Tenn: 24-17
Clemson: 26-20 (57%)
2) Nine (9) ranked teams went on the road this past weekend. They went 1-8, with Clemson having the lone win.
3) Michigan jumped Clemson after a home win over #10 Penn State. Yet Clemson didn’t jump Michigan after a home win over #10 NC State?

Yet Cuse didn't get the bump to top 10 like psu did after beating a 1-5 Central Michigan team and Cuse has top 15 W.
It's pathetic but B1G does it every year. The team has a slight or l ow pulse , said team gets bum ped in the rating to make meechigan or OSU look good.

Here’s what I know: UT beat bama, and bama fell below us. UT plays UGA in two weeks. 0310 State plays Michigan at the end of the season. All four teams are the ONLY teams ahead of us.

How many ranked opponents have the other teams even faced?
Cuse will be #3.
FSU is much better than their rank; as evident by the fact LSU is currently ranked! Who gave LSU their loss - FSU when healthy. Clemson played a highly motivated FSU team and let the foot off the gas when it was clear the Tigers were the superior team. FSU was at home; let alone just in the state of Florida - similar to how they went to Louisiana and beat the fake Bengal Tigers.
Give Cuse credit or not. Give NC State or Wake credit or not - Clemson is facing some of the better teams in CFB "THIS SEASON". Maybe not historically, but this season I would put Wake's offense against anybody's with a healthy Hartman and those WR's. NC STate suffered no doubt from the loss of Leary and may lose some more. But, clearly they are a really good team.
To me; it's setting the table to just have Big 10 and SEC representation in the CFP. If Southern Cal keeps winning - they will present another problem.
Does anyone give Michigan a better chance against Georgia and Tennessee and Alabama than they do Clemson? Michigan showed you what they were about after making it for the first time LY. The Big 10 top to bottom isn't as strong as the ACC.
If you go by the metric. "IF" you go by the metric - SOS - it's a no-brainer!
Miami may even find it's groove and end up with a winning record by the time we play. This Syracuse game was ssupposed to be a trap game right before Notre Dame.
Not so much!
Notre Dame in prime time on the road even when they are down will give the "historical greatness" crowd some good vibes on Clemson assumming we win. We should; we have the better team.
We should beat Cuse. Even though; Shrader makes you nervous with how accurate he is. Their OC finds a way to get Wide open wR's
Cuse will beat a bunch of teams outside the ACC as well.
Wake will as well.
FSU will as well.
N. Carolina is suddenly 6-1.

By the looks of things. The old standby; "your strength of schedule is why we penalize you" will not be an option this season.
They simply give Michigan a ton of credit for beating a Penn State team who could have possibly been overrated. Their best win (Pennn State) is against Auburn in Auburn(credit for it being on the road though). But, Auburn isn't the Auburn of old.
Michigan and that running game was awesome. What happens when they face someone that will make them pass it every down though?
TN beat Alabama - who should have a loss already if you saw the Texas vs. Alabama game.
IT's SEC and Big 10 bias and it's ugly.
I was not a big playoff expansion person; but as some of the dormant sleeping giants of college football wake up( Michigan, Tennessee, Southern Cal) you will have to find a way to get them in to play for a National Championship. Despite the disqualifiers that have supposedly been an issue before for other teams( some G5 schools or BYU or Auburn).
Just win Tigers!
It won't be an option to keep you out if we win them all.

Clemson basically did jump Michigan after the NC State game, it just took an additional week. Michigan was only a few points ahead of Clemson following the Clemson win over NC State. Clemson then jumped Michigan the following week after Michigan struggled with Indiana.
Also, to the overall point of your post. Is Clemson ranked behind those teams because the media thinks those teams have played a tougher schedule or is it because they simply think those teams are better? I haven’t seen a ton of media hate over Clemson having an easy schedule or praise for Ohio State and Michigan playing super tough schedules.

They simply have more large media outlets and more votes,,,Michigan does have a simple game plan pound you and run it baby...that still makes them vunerable...agree with above poster about bias...jawja had no offensive touchdowns against us but Bama had a better defense

Big 10 sucks eggs this year and I'm tired of everyone pretending they don't. But the Suckeyes and Testicular Torsion Blue Wolverines will play out to where one knocks the other out the race. So let them play frogger with each other, doesn't matter in the long run.
