They think that only in basketball and not football, that the ACC and the Big East should merge and create a super conference. What do you think?

Brand new ACC keep Clemson,Duke,UNC,Miami,SMU,Louisville,Florida St and Stanford.Then you add,Uconn,Creighton,St Johns,Marquette,Xavier and Villanova.

How would that benefit the ACC?
IT MAY happen in 2030 when the ACC implodes when FSU, CLEMSON, MIAMI, UNC and a couple more schools leave

with 12 teams would schedule 3 games and ACC with 18 could each only schedule 2 each. Outside of that we've already helped kill our league with former Big East schools coming in so no thanks on some kind of combined league.

Agreed. A merger would only generate a bloated conference in basketball with no new tv revenue. Just get more creative with scheduling agreements on neutral sites so that tv nets don’t already have the media rights. Increases the overall NET ranking and some bonus revenue for both conferences.

I think it would be a great idea for Duke to join the Big East and take Syracuse and BC with them.
