What Cowherd said is true to a point

CLEMSON and Bama are the deepest teams in talent and coaching. Some teams also have the potential talent, but their coaching staffs have either failed to develope that talent fully or utilize it with their scheme.
Now, there is a group right below CLEMSON and Bama: Penn St heads that group and OU, TCU, and Washington follow.
Washington will be a mystery until their playoff game, unless Penn St and TCU/OU goes undefeated. If the B1G and the Big 12 both have an undefeated representative Washington will be left out.
I personally believe OU is the imposter of this group and while I like TCU I am not sure that win over Oklahoma State is a proper gauge. Just based off Oklahoma State not being known to have a defense, ever and the fact that they had two O-line starters out in that game. Still, I am pulling for them to take care of OU.
Penn St is solid and should walk through that fraud of the B1G is the best conference.
Another player here is UGA. They are doing good things but are not there yet.
As for us not having a rival in our conference. That is down right false. We have rivals - they just aren't up to par right now. FSU can't seem to figure the O-Line and have had injury issues the past two years. GT is handcuffed by their HC. I'm going to skip the Textile Bowl, but NCSU was a rivalry at one time. U of L wants to be our rival but that isn't happening. VT, Miami or UVA (I have faith in Bronco M.) could emerge in the future as a formidable opponent in the ACC Championship games, but that is down the road.
Again, FSU is basically minus the clue of what to do at offensive line away from us. Even with them having that issue for years our last three games have been battles.

Don't bet the farm on that just in case you don't want to be homeless.
PSU will beat BOTH, and it won't be pretty.
And Cowherd is an absolute goof at CFB. He changes playoff teams more than Katy Perry changes underwear. Oh wait...I wasn't supposed to tell.

Penn St has enough D to shut down Ohio St and their QB is can make throws. I don't have to mention Barkley. The Michigan game is in Happy Valley and Michigan will be playing that game with O'Korn at QB. He is streaky at best. Either way we won't have to wait too long, as that is their next two games after this.
Let me know what you want to wager. Each game or as a set.

As far as talent and play on the field... I don't think we

do have a conference rival right now. I think that is what he is speaking to. We will smother FSU's qb and we will win by several scores in November. That is typically our tough conference rivalry game.

I got that. Which is why I mentioned that dispite FSU having O-line issues the past 3 years, plus this one, our games have been battles. I don't expect that to be the case this year but he can't just skip over the fact of the previous 3 years and project this year to make his claim effective. The reason beyond the O-line that they are in their present position is because they have recruited QBs that have had character issues and had to transfer out, leaving them thin at a developed QB rotation.
