I know that he has done a decent job at running the defense, but there is something that's keeping me from totally being sold on Goodwin as our DC. I hope that I'm wrong, but for some reason I just don't feel that Wes isn't tough enough to be a Top DC, and hopefully this coming season will tell if he has planted himself deep enough to be one of the top DC's in the country...

I think it’s great. Obviously he is still new and needs to add more seasons to see how he does but I am excited he is our DC. Might be a little biased bc I used to work with him.

Since you worked with him, can you confirm the rumor that he is more of a defensive intellect rather than a violence of action on every down kind of coach? I mean, I'm certain that the position coaches will bring on the intensity, but to have someone who is a tactician of the defensive game could pay huge dividends for Clemson down the road. Especially as his career matures and develops.

I worked with him in ‘12 and ‘13 but had been a while and was in a totally different role. He seemed more laid back

When mentioned Cade bounced back from last scrimmage I thought it was said the QB’s had a good last scrimmage. Just going to have to wait until season starts to get eyes on everything instead of listening g to talk.

I'm a little suprised we have not heard much about Sammy Brown. Saw him in HS and he was the total package. Tackling machine that took great angles to the ball. He's already 230 lbs and ran a 10.8 100 as Junior in HS. So he's bigger, stronger, and faster than what we already have. Different level and speed of the game of course but I was expecting him to start. I'll know what's up after I watch his first 20 reps in the spring game. Took about that many last spring to see that Peter Wood came in as good or better than anyone on the DL and he did not disappoint the moment he took the field in the fall.

I am optimistic going into the season, but I am very catious about ecpectations this year. For the past three years, I heard our offensive line was ready and QB was ready. That turned out to be completely hype. With the new coaches, and a year wiser QB, and a better overall health status. I am thinking this year the hype is gone, and we field a playoff contender.

My biggest concern is that no one has separated at Center. Hearing nothing but great things about Wesco. Really looking forward to seeing him

On the other hand, it might just be that all 3 are very serviceable. I doubt that’s the case, but wouldn’t that be a great thing?

I wonder how well Adams is catching the ball. Give that man a head of steam and he could be very dangerous.

I was also hoping to hear more about the LBs not named Sammy Brown. We need to hear that McCloud, Anderson, and Crayton are coming along.

Not seeing any separation at center is concerning, to say the least. Matt Luke is a great O Line coach, but not a miracle worker.
Also first I've heard about CK "bouncing back after a poor scrimmage last week"....had heard nothing but sunshine pumping so this comes as a surprise.
Glad to see we're starting to build some depth at DE, that was also a concern, maybe less of one now.
