Yep, I agree that the TV ratings will be great. For me, it is pretty easy to choose the lesser of two evils in this game...two schools, both of whom have apparently bought and paid for enough players to, in my mind, be considered to be professional teams. However, ND has gotten a "free ride" for years by not being in a conference for football. Thus, they don't have any conference rules to obey, no sharing of revenue, and probably some other things that work to their advantage.
So, the only time I can envision myself pulling for ND to win a game is if, and when, they ever play South Carolina. Geez, I hate to say this, but GO Buckeyes!

Pardon me for commenting on this. I have seen a lot of references recently to Ohio State basically purchasing a good team. Ohio State has done well in the NIL game. No doubt about that. But, Do all of Clemson’s players play for free? Is anyone making NIL $? If they do, where is the line between being acceptable and being an “NFL team?” No one knows exactly how much each schools players make. But I have seen estimates that put Ohio State NIL the top 5. Clemson total NIL estimates in the top
10-15. So where is the cutoff?

If Ohio State likes buying championships, fair enough. The upside to that is playing for championships, which you'll be doing here in a few days.
The downside is being known as the type of program that likes buying championships, and knowing that the players playing for those championships are about as interested in Ohio State, in learning what it means to be a Buckeye and carrying on a proud tradition, as they are in learning how to have their toenails removed.
(BTW, I'd apply that to any school that has turned its football program into an NIL mill, not just Ohio State. Looking at you, Texas, Notre Dame, Texas aTm, SMU, Skerlina, Michigan, LSU, FSU, Ole Miss ... the list goes on and on and on.)

Probably the second best matchup outside of one of those two teams vs Texas to draw in the Texas crowd in terms of final 4 ratings.
Also not to hate, but a ton of Southerners or the usual SEC crowd don’t understand how big Ohio State is. Buckeye dwarfs most other schools around these parts by quite a lot.

Yes. The ratings will be huge. We will watch it as long as it remains a competitive game. I can’t bring myself to pull for either of these teams to win, but I will probably be pulling harder for Ocryo St to lose. We watch football at any level as long as it is competitive. I turned on the division III playoff semifinal game on this morning hoping to see a good game. It was in the third quarter and one team was up 63-0 so I turned it to something on the National Geographic Channel about ancient lost cities.
