Savannah’s Announcement . . . It was only a matter of time . . .

Here is what she will be playing for:

“ Final qualifying stage to be conducted in six rounds from Nov. 30-Dec. 5, 2023

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., March 21, 2023 – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced today that the 2023 LPGA Q-Series will return to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail’s Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Mobile, Ala., from Nov. 30-Dec. 5, 2023. The final qualifying opportunity for players to earn 2024 LPGA Tour status will be played in six rounds (108 holes) with a cut to be determined after four rounds on the Falls and Crossings courses.

The change in rounds is the first since the inaugural LPGA Q-Series in 2018, which debuted with two 72-hole, stroke-play events held in consecutive weeks. Prior to 2018, the final stage of qualifying was five rounds conducted over one week.
“Based upon feedback from players and research conducted over past LPGA Q-Series results, it was determined that six rounds is an adequate measure and challenging test for those competing for LPGA Tour status,” said Tommy Tangtiphaiboontana, senior vice president of Tour operations. “This modification allows the entire competition to be played at one facility in consecutive rounds, with no change in venue between weeks.”

Q-Series is the third and final stage of the LPGA and Epson Tour Qualifying Tournament, with players competing for a $150,000 purse paid to the top 45 and ties. The field will include players who finish 101-150 and ties on the current-year Race to CME Globe Points List and players 11-35 and ties from the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card. Spots will be allocated for players in the top 75 of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as well as the top 10 and ties on the Ladies European Tour’s Race to Costa del Sol. Players advancing from Stage II of Qualifying School will round out the final field.

Upon the conclusion of Q-Series, the top 20 and ties will earn 2024 LPGA Tour status in Category 14, while players finishing in positions 21-45 and ties will earn 2024 LPGA Tour status in Category 15 and 2024 Epson Tour status in Category C. Players finishing outside the top 45 and ties will earn Epson Tour status for 2024.”

Here’s the Q-Series Schedule:

Entries are closed.
Practice Rounds: Tuesday - Wednesday, November 28 - 29, 2023
Tournament Rounds: Thursday - Tuesday, November 30 - December 5, 2023
Rain Date: Wednesday, December 6, 2023

Thank you skeeta56. 45 and ties. Preferably 20 and ties. Appreciate you posting this because I didn't realize it sounds at a minimum she'll get Epson tour status.
Sad day. But gosh, the future look bright.

B4 I forget, Sydney Roberts little sis (Olivia Roberts - Liv) took a commitment to Anderson. Both Roberts girls took Chesnee High to state championships. Liv is joined by Olivia Pellerin of Mauldin. Both are stellar golfers and Anderson will be good. Both are really close to our Clemson golfers. Pellerin and our current freshman Ivy Schultz posted on social media that hopefully they'll play together at some point...

Savannah will be missed greatly going into the spring part of the schedule...Going to miss her shooting in the 60's like she has done so so many times over her 4 and a half years, that's why she was the #1 player in the lineup the last few seasons

Yes Sir, I think we were all selfishly hoping she'd stay... but make it stage 3, got to go for it.

I posted in your thread about volleyball, which wake lost to bc, so record wise, we're t8. Would be huge for them to make the "nit" vball tournament. More practice and who knows, maybe a banner for new jervey...!!
