Friends… looking to this weekend, there’s one stat I’d like to share.

Total Defense Rankings:

Clemson - 38
UNC - 77
BC - 93
SMU - 128

SMU gave up 35 to TCU (lost by 11) and 48 to Baylor (lost by 3).

The only other two P4 teams they played are Cuse - gave up 18 to their 2nd string QB, and Stanford, to whom they gave up ten points. Stanford scored 30 on BC for context and comparison.

The offenses are literally almost dead even… but there is a big difference on defense… at least statisticallly.

I don't think we know that scoring is allowed after halftime.

Seems we did that last year against SMU. Came out firing on all cylinders and they came back on us. Last years Georgia game. Great first half. Hammered in second half. Second half against Troy. First half against UNC and BC.

It’s weird…

We do but not sure Dabo and Riley do. Seems the opposing teams make halftime adjustments and we don't readjust. Defense on the other hand seems to be making adjustments now through the game and it's showing. Yards and scoring during trash time, is hard to count.
