Chair. His considerable political experience and clout, plus his outstanding overall character and career in general are exactly what this institution needs at this juncture in its history.
If there's fire beneath the smoke of possible improprieties and nepotism on behalf of Swofford, Raycom, and the ACC, then Wilkins is most definitely the man to assure a proper and just remedy for Clemson, and possibly other schools in the league as well.
Should the facts bear it out, an ideal scenario would be a suit against the league office that essentially nullifies the current media contract in its entirety as a result. It would certainly lead to the replacement of Swofford. I would hope that a mere filing of a suit would be enough to address the Swofford issue, as it would represent a significant and damaging charge.
It's fun to speculate about for sure. If there is something there, though, I'm extremely confident in Wilkins' leadership on this going forward.

And sharp as a tack. There actually are some people who hold office that are the real thing. Wilkins is one of them, and considering the wild flux of the college football landscape, we are extremely fortunate to have him in our corner in the position that he is in at this point in time.
Whether it's a conference change or a conference fix that lies in store, Wilkins' voice will be heard and heeded when it's all said and done, and we'll be the better for it.
