We have the horses. We have elite talent on the o line. However, they play like they are no stars when it comes to run blocking.

Brinningstool was supposed to be an elite TE; he just doesn’t seem to be progressing. Adam Randall should be the next Terrell Owens. Beaux Collins was supposed to be elite. We haven’t had an elite receiver since Mike Williams and/or Justyn Ross. Shipley and Mafah are elite talents. Cade was the #1 dual threat. They just haven’t met expectations.

The one common denominator is coaching. The o line hasn’t improved much with T Austin in comparison to Caldwell. Receivers aren’t developing under Grisham. Special teams continue to regress as well. I have faith in Dabo, Riley, and Reid. The rest are questionable buddy/former players/GA’s. Goodwin should have a top 3 defense with the studs we have.

Time to clean the coaching cupboard and bring in proven talent.

Goodwin has been stringing together a number of good gameplans and adjustments. The offense puts them against the 8 ball too much but they have been responding. We found out Lewis was playing in the 4th and gave up the bad PI penalty because Jones didn’t play due to illness. Those things happen.
