Yes. We iced our own kicker! ###?! Tech did what they wanted when they wanted. Horrible. We look like Syracuse. Not Clemson.

Top 5 in staff payroll. Dabo makes more than the entire staff of some teams we play. GA Tech is example A. Brent key makes 2.8 million per year. University needs to pass regulations to stop any future 10 year deals. No way to forcast performance over that timeline.

At the start of the season, I predicted a final record of 8-4. After LSU and Troy, I amended that to 7-5. We have the players, so it has to be the coaching. The defense is fine IMO, the offense has been a mess for several years, and the hiring of Garette Riley has been a disaster. Dabo--since he cannot fix it, find somebody who can. And it's time to embrace to portal--BIGLY!

Sure (?) wins - 4: Syracuse (they’re bad & it’s a home game); UNC (road); BC (road); Furman

Likely win - 1: Duke (Duke is no where near as good as GA Tech, and it’s a home game).

50 / 50 games - 1: Louisville (good deal worse than last year, but it’s a road game and their game-day coaching is better)

Likely losses (but not “sure thing” losses) - 2: SMU (it’s a home game, so you never know); S.Carolina (they’re not as good as last year, and they strangely tend to choke at home when playing us)

Sure loss - 1: FSU has better players and (much better) OC -&- comparable DC. Home game advantage win’t be enough for us.

Lower tier bowl game - probable loss; we have a bunch of NFL Senior prospects (some borderline, but that won’t matter) that will opt-out and a couple of Junior studs that will also opt out (maybe a third if A.Williams can get in some PT in final 5 games) who are also like.y to opt out. Figure that we’ll have a 50 / 50 shot at beating some Sun Belt champ or a .500 type Big 12 opponent.

Putting it together, we’ll win 6 more games, not counting the bowl.

Prediction: 8 - 4 season, with luck (depends on the quality or lack thereof for our bowl opponent) we’ll get to 9 wins.

Worst reasonable case: we best either Duke or Louisville … but not both … to get to 5 additional regular season wins (to go along with the aforementioned 4 ‘sure win’ games). This gives us a 7 - 5 regular season, and then we lose the Nobody Cares Bowl for a final record of 7 - 6.

Good times.

That’s a good point, but I think they stop the clock from running more after a certain point. Not calling a timeout is a win-lose. Kickers are weird. The rush could’ve helped or hurt. And the ball curving back inside the uprights was a wild thing to see. Either way I think by that point it was just no layer what, it was coming down to the kicker or going to OT

I respectfully disagree on all grades. We averaged 6.2 yards per play which is 100% winning football. What we could not do was enough of was stop Haynes King who was the best player on the field. Georgia Tech is now in the drivers seat to play in the ACC Championship game and are a tough matchup. This game was always going to be a last minute game and that shows that with our total offense gaining 381-365. The big difference was they ran 9 more plays than we did and the turnovers were huge. Grade on the curve and Offense, Defense and Coaching all get a C.

that Ian Schefflein actually "caught" that ball for a TD and that that should've been reviewed. But what actually lost Clemson this game was Dabo running so much time off of the clock whilst going down the field in the pin-ultimate drive. I did the math and knew that it wasn't going to work, and I'm not a football coach...just a relatively smart guy. I still love my Tigers and respect each and every one of them. They can and will get it together before this season is over!

Our offense is not good enough to simultaneously manipulate the clock (I.e., either speed up or slow down) and also be relied upon to score … especially if it a TD that must be accomplished.

We rightfully depended on our defense, which is far far better than our mediocre offense, to hold off Tech and get us to OT. Unfortunately, our DBs were not up to the task of covering GA Tech’s mediicre WRs nor of consistently tackling Tech’s RBs who caught short routes and then got respectable Yards-After-Catch. If our DBs were better, then our DL & LBs would have neutralized a one dimensional / run-only Tech offense.

They got pass completions when they needed them. Then they had our D guessing just enough for their QB run game to succeed.

It was one heck of a game.

Yes. I thought the grading was a bit tough. I would give the D a C-. Although the D line that is supposed to be all world is soft and Woodaz is a liability at this point at LB. The offense is a D although there were some positive signs. Those 2 turnovers were most likely the difference in the game.

Coaching is the glaring issue with this team. To completely go away from the run through a portion of the second half was inexcusable. Through 3 games I am not crazy about Allen. I like a little more of an aggressive style defense but the D has been above average. I had zero confidence that this defense would stop GT on the final drive and this was proven out.

Also, I do not see the player led team that Dabo speaks of.

Unfortunately you can say that about all the RBs. Randall ignored the blitzing safety once again today. Adams might be a better pass protector but doesn’t play much. They really should go to a two back scheme on occasion. Cade refuses to scan the routes of more than one side of the field anyhow.

TURNOVERS BY KLUBNIK, Many errors in judgment and timing by Klubnik. Put someone else at QB. Ricardo Jones was burned A LOT. If he cannot learn quickly, he should be replaced. GT picked on him throughout the game...at the beginning and at the end. THOSE things were the difference.

You dont really want to put Vinzina behind THAT offensive line do you?? And I’m sorry but I’m afraid our DC hire was a bust. There were Penn State fans posting “Thank you”s on the board after his hire. Our receivers run long routes when the QB has no time. Receivers don’t seem to cut off routes for the blitz as they don’t recognize them….and if memory serves me correct, the TE is allowed to catch the ball. The. One INT I don’t think Klubnik could see from behind Randall. Cade is listed as 6’2” but I think he’s more 6’1”. Also what happened to that “deep” wide receiver room we kept hearing about?…and how many of us coaches picked Randall to be THE RB for this year? Our coordinators are not doing their jobs well . In the past, Dabo has shown he’d cut them loose. We’ll see how it pans out

Yes, I do want to see Vizzina behind that offensive line. If Vizzina doesn't get it done, put someone else in. Sacks have been 2,1,0 during the last three games. It's a function of delivery time and decisions. CK has 3 TDs and 3 INTs the last 3 games. Not a good start. If CK does not fumble OR does not throw the INT, Clemson beats GT by three to fourteen points.

Totally agree Coach needs to Let VZ get the start. IF Cade is needed, he's better coming in second anyways
