As a high school football coach I view games and programs much different than I did before I got into the business.

I constantly defend Dabo and even Brownell in real life and on this forum because I think so much of their criticism isn’t warranted and unfair.

While I disagree with so much of the Dabo hate this year (Ex - leading the nation in fumbles - missed kicks - QB calling his own play - none of those faults lie on coaches) tonight rubbed me the wrong way.

The Clemson fan base is unhappy and pissed because of the expectations YOU set.
You’ve shown us what you can do with this program, which is why we are upset. You’ve been so good that we expect you to be the great coach you are.

A couple of years ago Dabo said he wouldn’t bother himself with criticism from those he wouldn’t seek advice from. But the water is hot right now and he’s letting he noise get to him.

Dabo is a great leader and a great coach - this team has flaws he can’t overcome.

I’m thankful as a fan for what he’s done for this progrum and I hope he retires a tiger.

It’s a tough year, which will make the winning that will happen even sweeter.

I think Dabo is aware of the expectations he has set and he is obviously beyond frustrated at how things are going. For someone who says he doesn’t listen to the noise, it’s apparent he does hear it and it is starting to get to him.

This poor kid got the full ire of a man that is extremely embarrassed by his program. I used to think Dabo could fix the problem but that rant makes me think otherwise.

100% agree. One thing I would take exception to however. Not sure why so many say what you just did by calling it Dabo hate. I don't see any, (maybe a couple trolls) hate Dabo or calling for him to be fired. Most of us have expectations greater than 4-4 . Most of us are just airing our frustration and hoping Dabo makes the corrections to get back to being elite.

This isn’t just one bad year, but the third year in a slide from being an elite program to being mediocre.

With the plethora of resources and many other things in Dabo’s favor, what we are seeing now is really disappointing. To have our coach lash out at a fan on the radio tonight makes all of this even worse.

We need a strong leader right now, but instead we are getting someone who comes across as overly sensitive and unprepared for this moment.
