Well I just went back to Spectrum

got tired of all the different subscriptions and could not find a streaming service I liked as much as You Tube and I sampled several over the last week.
At the end of the day I’m paying about the same as I was for all other subscriptions combined.
Besides, when I was with Spectrum for all those years, Clemson dominated college football. Things went downhill when I went to You Tube.

Connect almost six years at home and three years at my office! Never been off line for a second! Even though we were without power for eight days after Hurricane Helene last year, never lost internet as long as the generator was running!

on the lake.
When we finally got cable, I told a friend he could have my dish, which was one of those large monstrosities, and I'll be darned if he didn't come across Lake Murray on his pontoon boat, loaded that thing up, cleaned up my yard, and back home he went. The next time I visited them by boat, there that dish was set up near the water's edge, working like a charm. Funniest site ever, seeing him motoring away from my dock while blaring out "Louie Louie" on his radio! LOL
I have Spectrum now, but the frigging bill is almost $300 monthly, way more than I want to pay.

Yep Hartins. It cost about what our first house payment was but I just got tired of having 5 different streaming channels to watch football or my favorite sports. I just want to turn on the TV and watch.

Mine is $235. I have internet, home phone, and TV Select package with ICloud for storage. I also have 2 Xumo boxes to pause live TV on the living room and master bedroom TVs.

Really liked You Tube until this Disney fiasco. Hate they could not resolve it. If they do, I may go back. I like everything in one place option plus pausing and recording live TV.

Nothing has beat my AT&T fiberoptic. 1000 gb/sec up and down. Add to that that I pay one sub and get everything anyone would ever want to watch. My total TV and internet budget is $85. I even switched to Mint Mobile...we pay $330 a year for two phones and unlimited data.
I just got to the place where our entertainment and media expense was seriously out of control. I don't even care if some of what I do might be a bit on the shady side of legal streaming...I am so tired of getting ripped off by people that are likely 99.9% ideologically opposed to me that I do what I have to do to control the cost. So everything, phones, internet, and TV streaming at our house comes to $117.50 a month. I used to pay $175 a month just for our two phones. Seriously...who wants to have to pay to watch Jimmy Kimmel???? or even pay to have the station Jimmy Kimmel is on even though you never watch? This is the pack plan of streaming and traditional cable TV design. They make you pay for a bunch of crap you don't want and then pay even more to get what you do want..even then the next package up on the plan you might buy to get one channel...just one. We have ESPN! Great, or you want the ACCN or SECN, or BIG1G (all owned by ESPN)? No that is an upgrade package for each one! FoxNews? Nope you have to pay even more and support causes you hate if you're gonna watch that crap. It is a total racket and I refuse to take part.
How many of you are old enough to remember the day when the selling point of cable TV was that because YOU PAID for it have very limited advertisement? They saw all us idiots coming. Now we all pay for what we used to get for free...with even more advertisement. 183 ads per football game when I counted earlier this season. Give satellite radio 10 years and it will be the same ad based radio you grew up with....and you'll pay. Amazon has in the last year started hitting Prime members with paying more to go Ad-free....they got the hook and then onced they hooked you they switched...same as cable did.
