Listening to 107.5 The Game, evidently Spurrier's comments were "taken out of context." Must've heard the hosts and callers say this 100 times to try and explain away Spurrier's classless comments.
I thought the context of the situation was a celebration for Marcus Lattimore. How silly of me to think that instead of it being some classless hick turning all the attention to himself.

I actually don't mind the guy that comes on after. He's ok, just pulls for the wrong team. A lot better than most of the clowns that are on WCCP.

When he said them, people heard them because the words were audible. Now that the words are in print and visible, it changes the context of what he said. They are permanent now.
Reason for not liking this change of context: Can't deny what was said.

About "the team that doesn't beat us much anymore." I understand he was trying to gee up the crowd and have no problem with this part of his comment. But the "usually when that coach up there talks about SC it's a bunch of garbage and BS" shows a total lack of respect for Dabo after he went out of his way to show respect for Lattimore.

The next show is regurgitating the same phrase repeatedly. It's just like watching FOX News - and the token phrase for today's broadcast is "out of context".
